There are no consequences with guaranteed salaries. This is is foolishness unless you have a guaranteed QB.

but some of the usual suspects are still calling this a "whole team" loss and failure across the board.

These would be the Dak Davidians. And there is nothing Dak could do, short of literally taking a crap in their wife's mouth, that could make them upset with Dak.
That's how blind their devotion to him is. You can fix or debate with that. It is what it is.

Jerry acknowledged that he is overpaying Dak but is not willing to make the correct action. The team went 4-1 when Dak was injured which supports the notion that the team is good enough to win without him.

This, he told him to his face at the press conference that we are overpaying you. WOW!

Don't you just love the hundreds of "Dak is a nice guy" comments? Almost as maddening as this team. Like that at least partially makes up for the fact that his contract cripples the team and he can't win.

Who cares how nice he is? Since when has niceness been correlated with passing accuracy and decision making. A moot issue.

It absolutely can. If an OC can take Goff to the SB after his first two seasons then a lot can change. You think Brock Purdy wins 7 straight with Moore?

It cannot. Dak is not particularly bright. Listen to him talk. He is not very intelligent. And that goes to split second decision making. He continues to throw into impossible tight windows and never learns. He has been In the league for years and he is inconsistent at best and inaccurate much of the time.

dak is what he is. Not very smart. Not very accurate. This is the best we will get from him. It is not a coaching failure. These things cannot be taught especially being in the league as long as he has been.

I do feel bad for Dak. He wasn’t put in a position to win. There’s no plan B for when our running game gets contained. No scheming easy throws or playing to his strengths. We can win with Dak with the right strategy.

This is wishful thinking. This is the age of guaranteed contacts with no accountability. When you are forced to pay regardless of performance, this is what you get. Great QB’s will always be great QB’s regardless of pay. But getting stuck with a lemon like Dak with a guaranteed salary is the biggest fiasco.

Cooper Rush finished the season with an 80% win percentage and beat two playoff teams.

Dak finished the season with a 64% win percentage and beat four playoff teams.

I’m not sure who had the better year.

Again though Dak wetting the bed in the divisional round against the #1 defense does not somehow make Rush anything other than an ok back up. Let it go Rush could not get us there, and yes we need to fix the QB position here as obviously Dak is not the answer either.

You are dreaming. 2 pics both on him. Stupid is as stupid does. The pass to Lamb over the top was not there and Lamb showed his disgust. Dak is the problem and the only problem holding us back. The offensive line was great. The D was great. Dak sucked And sucked bad.

That’s not the point. The point is there should be a significant difference in Dak and Rush performance. But there isn’t.
