Sure. Doesn’t mean they need to keep offering up the same empty platitudes over and over again.

Talk about how pissed you are about losing to GB and the Jags. Talk about how pissed you are about all your INTs.
As a response to being asked about the Eagles game?

If the Cowboys do pull off the win tomorrow, Philly not having Hurts in the lineup will dampen the win considerably. He’s having an MVP year.

Too bad we lost to Jacksonville, making this game meaningless. The rest of the season is pretty much meaningless. What difference does it make what seed we are as a wildcard? That we might play the 49ers? Well good.

It’s not totally meaningless, but it’s highly unlikely that Philly would lose out and the Cowboys would win out to steal the division. Seeding won’t matter because we’re going to end up on the road anyway and we won’t beat anyone the way we’re playing right now. The real value of these last three games is to try and start playing better. We’re showing some serious cracks, especially on defense and are staring at a one and done. We need to gain some confidence and momentum for the playoffs.

Par for the course unfortunately.

Some folks are so over the top emotionally invested in this guy that they feel they have to destroy anyone who doesn't see it their way.

It's not enough to disagree, or even disagree vehemently

They have to personally malign and attack anyone who criticizes him. Almost like they're his Mom or something. Kinda strange, bordering on creepy, if you ask me
Yes, some people are like that, but some people use any excuse they can to bash the guy, even if it means intentionally taking his quotes out of context.

I forgot about that part. I think you mentioned it before. We have to build some momentum going into the playoffs. It's just kind of boring that these outcomes are of no consequence otherwise.

"Based on the last couple of games, we need to perform to the level of execution and intensity that we're capable of - starting with me."

He kinda coulda said this.
But if the question was, "Is this a statement game for you?", then he'd be accused of sidestepping the question. I'm not sure if that was the question, but it seems likely, considering how many times the media asks it.

I mean we know it’s about getting to the NFCCG for the Cowboys to be successful. If not the Cowboys will have to consider big changes.

I don’t see big changes coming if we don’t get to an NFC title game. if the Cowboys were to manage to win a playoff game not much will change. Jerry cut off some big salaries entering the season, and he has to prepare for the huge contracts of CeeDee Lamb, Parsons and Trevon Diggs. The Joneses aren’t spending as freely as they used to. Primarily because they’re paying their QB a ton of money.

No, but I'm sure you aren't under the impression he just walked up to the podium and started orating like he's Abraham Lincoln.

"Four scores and seven seasons ago our team brought forth, in this NFL, a new mediocrity, conceived in inconsistency, and dedicated to the proposition that all men get a slice of the pie."

He's beginning to sound like Jerry.

That's the type of culture surrounding this team, franchise under the "Jones" regime; lots of talk, no results. All show No go!

I hope we run the ball well with Zeke and Pollard bc that’s our best chance. Philly has 2 of the best CBs in football and you better believe they’re going to try and take Lamb out of the game.

I have little confidence Noah or Gallup can step up.

If the the whole team shows up we have a good chance. If the game depends on our passing game I don’t like our chances and it’s not bc of Dak.

This team can’t shut up. Last year, they talked about Ariz being a “statement game” and they laid a turd.

Now Dak is yapping about the Eagles game being a statement game.

I wish— for once (since Parcells left)— this team would do their talking on the field. If they go out and lose to Minshew tomorrow night, they will have earned every bit of disrespect they get.

What do they earn by talking this game up? If they win— the story will be they beat a backup QB. If they lose, they are a joke. SMH… I fail to see the upside of trying to declare this game some kind of measuring stick now that Hurts has been ruled out.

A game that is totally meaningless for playoff positioning against the back up QB is Dak’s “statement game”

figures

just shut up moron

Pretty clear he was saying that HE would not give you a like. Not that anyone else wouldn't give you one.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
So he felt the need to tell me he wouldn't like my posts... while I was making fun of him?

Parcells....what did he accomplish here, other than getting a towel thrown at his face.....he just collected one last paycheck.

I don't know, dude.
He won a division title with Quincy Carter.
Turned Romo, a UDFA, into a star.
Would've been predicted to win SB if he'd stayed one more year.
Sure as hell was better than the Campo years... lol

"Statement Game" is a phrase you use after a game and not before.

Love Dak but he needs to rest his voice for the game. After all, he has a statement to make.
