Dak against the world

I would say besides Mahomes, Burrow and Jackson every other team, including us, is ruining their roster with a highly paid QB. I just finished watching MNF and Herbert is a waste. Talk about a bad contract. Deshaun Watson is stealing money, complete waste. I can go on and on.

But just because other teams are crippling themselves with bad QB contracts doesn't mean we have to.

My biggest beef with Dak is the looming contract extension he might get. If he gets extended for 50-55 million APY then we're screwed for a couple years. Not because of salary cap but because Dak isn't clutch and he's hit his talent ceiling. He's taken us as far as he can but there's still issues with his game that are not resolved 8 years into his career.

If you gave me the option of trading Dak out for Jones, Cousins, Herbert, Wilson, Carr I would give a hard no. Cousins is Dak. Herbert is a physical freak but not a winner. I'd rather roll the dice on a new younger guy than a capped out veteran. Or I'd rather pay someone like Tyrod Taylor very little and build up a strong team around him. Dak doesn't have the "clutch gene", he doesn't win bug games. That's why I don't want to resign him, not because of the money.

Great post and I couldn't argue with any of your points.

Here's my thing. The quarterback market dictates how much all these quarterbacks are paid.

I don't understand people getting mad at Dak for how much he's paid. All the people who bring up Dak's salary, would cash in on a big contract too if they had the opportunity.

Dak earned his contract when he got it, according to the market and how quarterbacks are paid. There were no other alternatives when Dak got his first max contract. It's not like there were quarterbacks just hanging around that we could replace him with.

Dak is not elite, but he's a pretty good quarterback and his production and annual top 10 status proves that. I feel if he doesn't lead us deep into the playoffs THEN I wouldn't mind giving a younger QB a shot.

But who? Not noodle arm Rush, because he's basically the same age as Dak. I wouldn't mind seeing what Lance could do for us.

You claimed nobody would answer you. I did.
Currently, the longest winning streak belongs to the Jags, led by
Trevor Lawrence. The face of the team. I failed to check his contract
but it's coming. Bet on that.

It's kinda funny that you forgot Jalen Hurts. Heck, soon, we'll be hearing how
great Deshaun Watson (again) mostly thanks to his WR1, some guy named
Amari Cooper. He's pretty good.

Amari Cooper?? LOL!!! Yeah he's pretty good, but there's a reason he went to his third team before he turned 30. All that talent is pointless when you're known to disappear in away games and big games.

You must not have seen the game where Cleveland upset SF and
Amari Cooper lit them up with a QB from a Cracker Jack minor league.

I'm not surprised. Amari Cooper is very talented, but he has been known to disappear in big games and away games. That's why he's on his third team so fast in his career.

So it doesn't surprise me to see him have a great game here and there. He's talented enough to have great games WEEKLY like AJ Brown but he's not mentally built like that.

He seems fine in cold Cleveland. This whole "three teams" narrative is unfair.
Randy Moss was "done" as a Raider. Then resurrected as a Patriot.
The FO in Dallas is a bit of a joke around the league. Strangely, I've seen a lot
of Browns games this year. Amari shows up every week. Heck, I've actually
seen him smile... lol.

Nobody here can say with a straight face that signing Gallup, and not
Cooper, was the right choice. Credibility would be lost instantly.

Jalen is ballin, no argument there....

But you're telling me Kirk Cousins play has matched all the max contracts he's had throughout his career according to the standards yall hold Dak to? How when Dak has a better winning percentage than he has AND Dak has owned him head to head???

(Please put the goal post back where it was)

I wasn't aware Trevor Lawrence was on a max contract. How many playoff wins does he have so far?
About the same amount as Dak.

Here we go again and in year 8... Dak "finally" proved it against a secondary even Mac Jones lit up with no WRs. How many rushing yards did the Patriots get against the Eagles defense, so that Dak doing it without a running game is so amazing? Philly posts the best run defenses in the league, with their secondary being one of the worst.

The defense gave up 28 points. More than the Patriots, Jets, Bucs, and the Rams. Those lousy defenses we blew out gave up less points to the Eagirls than our supposed generational great defense.
Why is this getting swept under the rug??? been saying this ... but yeah it doesnt go with posters "Dak" agenda on here.

Anybody else tired of watching these games end like this with dak against the world and no help.

Anybody that can't realize that he gave all he had and it still wasn't enough please don't respond because you just don't get it.

He needs a power freaking running game like he had with Zeke in his prime and our front office refuses to give it to him the more we try and work around it the more we will fail.

We could have made Derrick Henry an offer he couldn't refuse and we would have won this game.

Being one-dimensional at the end of a game like that going against the eagles defense pinning their ears back and coming is no way to try and win.

Trying to pass on every down with 3 minutes left to go was an absolute coaching disgrace but it was done because there was no confidence in the running game.

I keep saying it we need a closer we need a guy that can finish that can make a defense play honest and respect the play action.

We got nothing but Dak out on an Island at the end of these games with no protection trying to pull off a miracle and it's not going to happen.
That's what happens when you want to get paid like your elite.

If you paid him less, you could get him a LOT more help. Why is that so hard to understand?

Jerry isn't going to manipulate the cap for that, so here we are.
And that's 100% on Jerry for not realizing that he needs more help and his salary should be adjusted so that that help can be purchased for the greater good of the team. To LP
That's what happens when you want to get paid like your elite.
No it's what happens when your front office doesn't evaluate players properly and pays them like they're elite when they're just very good.

Who doesn't want to get paid like their elite it's up to the guy that's paying you to be a good judge of your ability that way you have the money to pay others

Saying three teams is definitely fair. He's a great talent, but to be on your third team before you turn 30 years of age???

Hmmm....
