First of all, Romo was "surrounded by" 12 Pro Bowlers. He was #13.
Second of all, look at the 2006 Roster vs the 2007 Roster.
Nearly identical with 1 or 2 exceptions, the only real difference being Romo didn't become the starter until well into 2006 but was the starter for all of 2007.
And somehow, inexplicably, the team wins 13 games and has Pro Bowlers everywhere.
Coincidence? or Did Romo elevate the play of those around him? Honest question. The only thing that changed from the beginning of 06 to 07 was basically, Romo became the full time starter. Oh, and our coaching got significantly worse going from Parcells to Wade.
And yet, magically, Pro Bowlers galore start popping up all over the Cowboys roster. Somehow, while losing a Hall of Fame coach, a bunch of guys got significantly better between 2006 and 2007 and became "Pro Bowlers" out of nowhere. Amazing how that happened. Almost a "Hollywood" story, if I may be so bold.
Meanwhile, Dak has 2 likely or possible HOF players as staples on his o line his entire career (including at the vital LT position), and a plethora of top tier WR's, the leagues leading rusher for 2 of his first 3 seasons, and you act like he's been carrying scrubs. You've made Dak Scapegoats out of guys that would have been huge improvements over a lot of those Cowboys teams top skill players (anyone remember the year Laurent Robinson led us in TD receptions?)
Let me say it loud and clear--you're full of frigging crap and everyone here knows it. Take your bias and your agenda elsewhere, or deal with it being factually exposed.
