Dak at it again

then Romo goes down and he beats out Moore (hard job I know!)

He never even beat out Moore. Moore broke his leg. Dak has never beaten out anyone for the job, the only time he had to compete for it he was in third place.

Get used to it.... In an interview given to 105.3 The Fan yesterday Jerry said that Dak was going to get extended.
Jerry says alot of things that aren't true. example "I have complete confidence in Wade Phillips and the Job he is doing" the week before he fired him. If JJ does actually get rid of JG either during the season or after it then he will have to get whatever coach he does get to coach the Cowboys (assuming it is a reputable coach) not some rookie coach making his head coaching debut, to sign off on Dak as his QB, so JJ isn't extending Dak unless a new coach wants him

I have no doubt he is of high character, or that he is working hard.

None of that changes the fact the guy just isn't a good player.

He just can't read defenses or anticipate guys coming open and I serious doubt he ever will. Seems like it is actually getting worse, not better.

I'm starting to question his character also. The Avril comments trouble me. He got Dez (a big time receiver) off the team to cover his own butt.
Guy seems more interested in filming soup and yogurt commercials than anything else.

We know he sucks as a quarterback. That's evident.
But this automatic endorsement of his character might not be so clear cut. Time will tell, but I'm not sold on Dak the person. There are still questions in my mind.

Dak Prescott PR agent is selling him again.....

What a crock of BS from this guy.....basic translation here as follows...........................Please please please Zeke,Martin, Cooper,Lee do whatever you can to save my JOB....PATHETIC!!!

Hey Dak didn't your PR guy tell you that no one follows a loser and a inept one at that.

slap this on the wall of a corporation as an inspirational painting that everyone will ignore as they walk by to the restroom.

Yep, agree. Hear lots of comments about his 'character' but he has flat out flamed his WR via social media on several occassions. I remember the flippant " I guess I have to throw it at their facemask" comment after a dropped catch (which happens). Then the claim that WR weren't getting open. Then the casual indifference to the results.

The kid MIGHT have been humble when he came into the building as a fourth round pick who was 3rd on the depth chart.. then Romo goes down and he beats out Moore (hard job I know!) and suddenly he is being told he is the greatest QB of all time? then he gets told they are kicking Romo for him.. then he gets told that they are kicking romo forever for him... then he gets told they aren't even going to bring in a quality back up because they have 100000% faith he is franchise. He ain't humble anymore. He believes his own hype and sadly I think he still believes he can play QB in this league. Delusional.

I may have fuzzy memory but I don't recall Romo EVER throwing his WR's under the bus via a twitter flame...

Agreed. Well said. Guy bought his own hype. He's the QB version of Jerry. A legend in his own mind.

I absolutely have no clue what anyone see's in the guy. He's just not a franchise QB. You know one when you see one. He's not it. At best mediocre.

His intangibles are off the charts but he plays not to lose and he doesn't anticipate guys being open very well.

He needs perfection around him like his coach.

I think a better coach like Payton would drastically help him but the fact remains that he's just not going to be a prolific passer.

If you want a short summary/translation of his statement:

"Hey guys, Jerry is *THIS* close to extending me to a fat contract. I need you guys to really get together and carry my sorry rear end so I can get paid and then throw you under the bus to keep my elevated position. Who's with me?"

Sums it up. End of discussion.

There are only 32 starting QBs, that get to play in the NFL. Dak Prescott should not be one of them.

I always found it incredibly telling from our coaches that when Romo was healthy and wanted to play,( that he was willing to compete for his starting job and asked to do so ), but the team refused. That always confused me (winning streak aside) because they built that team for Tony. Somtimes the Koolaid is really really good!

Garrett made this call because the thought he had found a long term QB that would protect his job long term.

The irony is, that decision might be what ultimately ends up costing Garrett his job.

Dak is calling his WAR song ....common everyone now that were headed once again for the couch come playoff time lets stick together and make sure I keep my Job ....them endorsement dollars need to keep filling my bank account baby....

I agree, JG does the same thing every year, he figures out what it's going to take for him to keep his job and that;s the target.

I said back in 2016 that Romo is what has saved JG's Job all those years and that getting rid of Romo is what is going to cost him his job. You are correct alot of Irony there

He sales jersey's, has endorsements. Good guy.
So Jerry makes money, he will keep him around. He will make an enormous amount of money from his rookie year.
Sucks as a QB the past 16 games, but hey, jerry has his 2 adopted sons, Jason and Dak. So he is happy, nd will keep both around another5 or 6 years.

Don't be surprised if both get 10 year deals in the off season.

If JG and Dak are back next year then I'm not going to nor watching the games until they're gone.

I agree with this... He looks like he’s running soft and slow, while rarely if ever breaking tackles...

Seems like an attitude problem...

My theory is the both Dak and Zeke were just taught and coached better in college, and so they came out hot as rookies.. Then, after being indoctrinated and bathed in Garrett’s loser paradigm, each has simply regressed...

Either way, I have next to zero patience for either of these turds at the moment... it’s like, Dak just flat out sucks, and Zeke has what appears to be an attitude problem and a hideous, utterly egregious haircut...
a hideous, utterly egregious haircut.........lol that doesnt bother me it is the stupid nose pin that I dont care for.

They dont know how to teach their players, and they dont practice properly or prepare for all the various situations like NE does.
The culture is fight hard, but if you dont win that is ok, just watch the tape and get better forever lol.
Some guys are seeing this and tiring of it, this goes against their nature.
Cole looked extremely frustrated the last game, like he knew the game plan was so bad they would not win.

Face it, they love his Oikos Triple Zero Greek Nonfat Yogurt.

The name... the backstory with his Mom - just a couple of the things that compelled many to get behind Prescott when he was coming out in the league. But ultimately talent is what carries these guys to career success. The history of the NFL is littered with QBs from the shady to the outright dispicable who could REEEALLY sling that ball. Dak doesn't appear to be in that group and would need a very tight team to cover up the chinks in his passing armor. He doesn't currently enjoy such a team.
