Perspective, he's a 4th round qb in his 3rd year. You were spoiled by his 2016 season.

Its inexplicable.

It really is.

I mean. I understand the arguments about defenses adjusting and having more tape on him.

That being said. I don’t think that alone explains the staggering drop-off in Dak’s play.

He has regressed in every way imaginable. And while a big part of that is on Dak himself. It also is representative of a complete failure by the coaching staff.

Developing a young QB to be your long term starter is one of the most important jobs a coaching staff can have. And Dak has gotten worse in every aspect of his game.

We need to draft another young QB and can’t let garret anywhere near him.

Look at how much cooper rush regressed. He was the star of preseason last year, and this year he looks like utter trash. When you have a head coach that nobody knows what he actually does to benefit the football team and you have an offensive coordinator who literally runs Zeke into a defense that is waiting for him on 1st down OVER AND OVER and then puts us in a long and predictable passing situation on 2nd down, it's no wonder that the offense looks like trash.

This is the same staff that thought it was a great idea to not play Dak or Zeke ANY in preseason, especially when we had so many moving parts on offense.

Also, how can Dak get better when the guy teaching him is literally the guy he beat out for the starting spot and that guy has ZERO head coaching experience?

Dak might be ruined. We can draft another guy, but at most they MIGHT have one decent year here from coming from a well coached college program until they regress into nothingness. I absolutely do not want this coaching staff to get their hands on another qb. They've had Mark Sanchez who beat the Patriots AND the Manning led Colts to get to the conference championship. Couldn't win a game with him as a starter. Had Matt Cassell who went 11 and 5 with the patriots. Couldn't win a game with him as a starter. Even Brandon Weeden won something with the Texans. The only qb who has had somewhat success here was Dak for one year and Romo because he did his best to ignore the coaches and do his own thing.

In fact, the worst thing that could happen to us is we have another rookie qb come in, have one year of great success and Garrett gets a 5 year extension and we get to watch this same routine play out again.

If all Dak did was get us a new head coach, then he was a great addition to this team. I simply cannot tolerate this coaching staff throwing more historic talent away. We've already wasted Romo, Murray, Bailey, Witten, Dez, and more. Now we're wasting Zeke.

Never fear. We promoted the water boy to coach Dak up. SB coming!

Agreed. It’s called a Fluke

Dak has no business starting for the Dallas Cowboys period

It wasn't a fluke , he showed a glimpse of what he's capable of, what he can do, he's still working to be consistent. He wasn't suppose to start in 2016. That wasn't the plan for him.

The entire offense blows, it's embarrassing. No one is playing great. I won't get into the coaching. Jones will just get treading water with the same garbage.

His support system in Dallas is a joke. “Dak Friendly” is actually Unfriendly. Not surprised givein that dumpster fire of an organization. They probably ruined him.

This coaching staff kills quarterbacks, just like they kill careers. Every quarterback they've ever had not named Romo has been ruined by them. Made to look utterly incompetent. And there's ten years of evidence of that. If Romo wasn't there bailing them out, the entire team was a trainwreck. And the only reason they weren't able to ruin Romo was because of the foundation that he had from several years of working with Bill Parcells and Sean Payton.

Each and every quarterback they've ever gotten their hands on has looked progressively worse with each passing season. Dak from 2016 to today and Cooper Rush from last year to this year being just the most recent examples.

These guys are a plague.

I'd argue that they even ruined Romo. Can you imagine how much more success Tony would have had with a guy like Sean Peyton? Romo had a good career but he should be a HOFer. Garret's offensive scheme and offensive line bumbling robbed him of that potential.
