I'd argue that they even ruined Romo. Can you imagine how much more success Tony would have had with a guy like Sean Peyton? Romo had a good career but he should be a HOFer. Garret's offensive scheme and offensive line bumbling robbed him of that potential.

I won't argue that point one bit. Romo is but one of many potential Hall of Fame careers ruined by a never-will-be of a head coach gifted the job by a fool.

I love how the people who have been wrong all along simply to defend the team, most of them probably didn't even watch Prescott in college, are now pretending he was this totally different player in 2016.

He wasn't. He was the same guy who can't make throws and checkdown Charlied his way to managing the game. The same severely limited player.

That just isn't sustainable.

You shouldn't be marveling at his supposed decline from two years ago. It's your own lack of understanding of the game that should really astound you.

Yep.

It’s the same guys that want to draft every player from Bama because it’s the only college team they occasionally watch.

Funny how, even at the beginning of the 2018 season, this board was split pretty close to 50/50 on the haters/supporters of Dak.

And now, 8 games later, it's probably 95/5.

Well, we had one good season and one mediocre season to judge him on. So, a lot of guys were still focused on 2016. I wasn't one of them but I get it. You can't check down your way into a good NFL career.

Perspective, he's a 4th round qb in his 3rd year. You were spoiled by his 2016 season.

Perspective. If he's playing like a 4th round QB, then you can't bank the immediate future of the franchise on him.

Stat League Rank

Jerry can because he doesn’t want to look the fool for booting Romo too soon.

When we’re dealing with a dysfunctional situation normal thoughts and solutions don’t apply.

Dak is perfect for our dysfunctional franchise.

We now have a average to below average QB to go with our HC and GM. What could go wrong? Lol

This coaching staff kills quarterbacks, just like they kill careers. Every quarterback they've ever had not named Romo has been ruined by them. Made to look utterly incompetent. And there's ten years of evidence of that. If Romo wasn't there bailing them out, the entire team was a trainwreck. And the only reason they weren't able to ruin Romo was because of the foundation that he had from several years of working with Bill Parcells and Sean Payton.

Each and every quarterback they've ever gotten their hands on has looked progressively worse with each passing season. Dak from 2016 to today and Cooper Rush from last year to this year being just the most recent examples.

These guys are a plague.
Because we haven’t had another QB with Romo type talent.

We see and understand our handicaps and obstacles with front office and coaching staff, why are we intent on the same challenges at QB?

Talent is the best remedy for our dysfunctional situation.

I think Jimmy said it best when he called the team a country club. Everyone is real chummy and polite. There is no pressure or expectations to win put on anyone.
This is the casualty when you have an owner also wearing the GM hat. It presents a conflict of interest from the top with no direct accountability underneath.

"That's my Quarterback"- Jerry Jones
Jethro is just promoting his guy. That’s to be expected.

But to publicly spout he’s going to extend without further evidence is placing himself in a bigger position we can hold him accoutable.

But, but, but...he's 25-16 as a starter Risen. That proves he is a bona fide NFL franchise QB. Right?
