When you have dominant pass protection and CeeDee lined up in man, you are more often than not going to be successful. This has always been Dak’s MO on a fast field at home with WRs like Cooper. Imagine getting to play against garbage pass defenses that line up man against you and can’t get any pressure on you up front.

He can’t throw consistently against a zone.

He is as dumb as he looks.....that is basic zone defense. Give you a pre-snap look and then go into another. Any third string QB would know that too.. he has no clue reading defenses. If his primary receiver is covered...game over. And he says when they got it going, LOL....that is when GB went prevent and up by 30, and were GIVING him those yards. Amazing.

The guy you want to hitch your $60m wagon up with folks. and in his 8th season..LOL....

@TheMarathonContinues they in here talking about the Texans lol. Dak haters never cease to amaze me. oh and they are focusing on daks 2 picks which were pathetic but fail to mention the texans were aided by 2 Joe flacco pick sixes. I get wanting to move on from Dak and i really dont care if hes here or not but half of Dak haters are hypocrytes who excuse the same cowboy shortcomings previous to Dak.

the defense sucked then it sucked now. No running game to speak of.

Its not even that. Its the offense. You can't run a respectable offense with no run game. McCarthy knew this. He went into this season wanting to emphasize the run. But then the run game sucked and it was back to what we do.

This, we or some of us knew the run game would suffer, but some thought it would still be great. Could see the handwriting on the wall. But we made no effort to get a RB or LB when afforded the opportunity.

Well, except for that 1 time when he was advocating violence against the refs.... Other than that, yeah, he's normally an OK guy.
Seriously.
one thing I'd like to see, now that for many the bloom is finally off the talent rose with Dak, is for everyone to stop feeling compelled to talk about what a "great guy" he is when criticizing his play.

First of all, you're right, his character cred is vastly overrated. He's me first, all about Dak and he's always going to be all about Dak.

But secondly, who cares? We're talking about his play and whether he's the right guy to lead this franchise to the highest levels of success.
Can he get the job done or not? Because he's paid to lead this team to victories in the biggest moments. That's his job. Literally.

Playmaker was a complete jerk. Playmaker was an embarrassment off the field, to this franchise and to his family and to humanity in general. I have no problem admitting that.
But when it's time to win a ball game, there's literally no one else I want at WR1 for the Cowboys in our franchise history. Period. The man was about winning and he had the talent and the mentality to get it done and to elevate others around him to do the same.

There is not a single person on this forum outside of maybe AC that would say this about Dak.
At that point, I don't care if he's a "good guy" or not. He needs to be shown the door. Period.

"but once we got it going, once again it was too late" Dak
Isn't it human nature to relax some in a high energy, high impact game when you're ahead 48-16 in the 4th quarter?
I do not see those 4th quarter scores as an accomplishment or the team "getting going". Not just this game, any game where the other team leads by 3 or 4 TD's. Even before the backups are in the winning team mentally says we probably will win this game. And a little bit of the edge is taken off their play. I question if he really believes the team was "getting going".

Damn nuts talking about the damn Texans who beat a trash Browns team....I don't care what they did to beat them. Then was gloating about Baker beating Philly. ***. Tampa Bay and Texans is not who we should be striving to be.

Same thing happened when Cooper got here. His numbers shot up against man when Cooper yelled at him to throw him the ball as he wasn’t being shadowed with any safety help against the Eagles, but he still sucked against zone even getting shut out later against the Colts, who played almost exclusively cover 2 zone. And even TB created problems for him going into the playoffs.

You may can get away with a crappy run game but if your offense is built around one player in Lamb then you will suffer. You will become one dimensional.

I just need him gone. I don't harbor any bad feelings about him. He seems like a great guy. Good with fans, never embarrasses the franchise, etc. I also don't think he sucks. He's actually a good QB.

But I need him gone. I need a new era of QB in Dallas.
He is a good QB. He needs more help than a great QB. Our Defense did not help us at all. It was an embarrassment. Let’s see how much flack Quinn gets over this. Would not bother me if he took another job.

Mr. PR

Yeah he said this, but he also followed it up with “my best season ever”.
