Bortles is a better QB with an infinitely higher ceiling.
What outlet considers Aikman one of the most overrated players of all time. I'd love to read that drivel.
I'm not owning up to anything concerning that bum Blake Bortles.
Type into google: Most overrated QBs Troy Aikman
Go the the links. You don't have to AGREE with the "drivel", but you pretending from your bubble that it has never been said by even national news outlets is what I am going to criticize you for.
And you are proving you don't like being wrong. "Biggest draft busts" don't make clutch throws to advance their teams to a championship game. He's accomplished more than the "biggest draft busts".
You lost. It stings, I know, lick the wound and move on.
I lost? Y ou said you have a bunch of sites that consider Aikman one of the most overrated Qb's of all time...I ask you for the site and you tell me to go look for it? What kind of nonsense is this? And I'm suppose to trust your judgement on Dak or any qb for that matter?
These guys don't like when you bring Romo up in these hypotheticals lol.
Why is it that all of the Dak slobberers were big "Romo haters" in their day?
No wonder they defend Dak so fervently..
I just told you what to do, do you want me to provide every link that comes up on google? You can easily verify if I'm telling the truth just by doing that.
Again, what I said about Aikman is not something only I have said. It's echoed by many, whether you agree with it or not. Your claim yesterday was a ridiculous exaggeration.
Bortles is a better QB with an infinitely higher ceiling.
You are talking nonsense and drivel. Go bring up those links stating Aikman is one of the most overrated QB of all time. Why do you keep responding to me without the link? If you don't have it just say that. You keep trying to talk in circles for some reason. Where is the link at?
I google this drivel and the first sites to come up are a video game website IGN, a hip hop website in Complex Magazine and Bleacher Report. You have got to be kidding me. I would've respected it more if you just said you pulled this out of your own arse.
LOL so you googled it, you see that this is being discussed, and you are STILL trying to be a smart***?
Now, you can provide me a site stating Bortles is ONE OF THE BIGGEST BUSTS OF ALL TIME. LOL
Yes, you are right, Foles and Bortles have indeed gotten further than Romo. The logic stands.By that logic, both foles and bortles have done more than Romo as well. If Bortles was here and Dak was there, it would be the same result.
exactly he was 9-21 for 96 yards through 3 qurters..kudos he found a way to help late but anyone remember how impressive Dak was in most 2016 games and even a bunch of 30plus point losses early this season AND how he led the cowboys from being way down early and again late against GB in the playoffs..no doubt he wasn't the same late in the year mostly do to the landmine he stepped on in ATL and as ayoung player stuggled and got happy feet from that game on..if they really break down film and show dak what his true issues were, ie footwork and stop running sideways and instead climb the pocket and try resetting your feet under pressure , keep his eyes up , he will get back to the old dak.. that's not to say we don't realize hes not going to be an elite passer or even a romo type but i believe he can still be a part of a good team..congrats to bortles and jax...impressive.NO DOUBT.
I'd still rather have Dak.
GO COWBOYS!!!
i think Mcnabb is fair comparison but Mcnabb at least from the later years that i remember was a stronger thrower for sure but maybe dak will get there..Not even close. McNabb took a team that was garbage to the play offs his second season. He had zero WRs for most of his career. Who of you remembers such all stars like Torrence Small and James Thrash and Todd Pinkston? And those weren't back ups they were starters! At this stage in his career couldn't carry McNabbs jock. Reid didn't feel the need to get a real WR until TO. Dak was dropped into a perfect situation. And basically had the exact same offensive team this year and he looked horrible. The only things Dak has in common with McNabb is that they are both Black, big and play QB. Nothing else.
I appreciate your thought process here. It's just not as simple as "break down film and show Dak" and think it'll correct the situation. His issues are behavioral. Mechanical issues can be corrected in short order, behavioral issues? Not so much. When that clock in his head is counting down and he has 100 possibilities playing out while making a decision to throw the ball, how hard do you think it is to forget what you just recently learned? Not very.exactly he was 9-21 for 96 yards through 3 qurters..kudos he found a way to help late but anyone remember how impressive Dak was in most 2016 games and even a bunch of 30plus point losses early this season AND how he led the cowboys from being way down early and again late against GB in the playoffs..no doubt he wasn't the same late in the year mostly do to the landmine he stepped on in ATL and as ayoung player stuggled and got happy feet from that game on..if they really break down film and show dak what his true issues were, ie footwork and stop running sideways and instead climb the pocket and try resetting your feet under pressure , keep his eyes up , he will get back to the old dak.. that's not to say we don't realize hes not going to be an elite passer or even a romo type but i believe he can still be a part of a good team..
evidence: we played horrible as team plus coaching and finished 9-7 with one of the toughest schedules ive seen us play , oddball 3 games in 12 day stretch as all the injurys hit at the worst time with zekes suspension, all that with 18 new players mostly on defense OFT injured as well and to boot cut all of our FAs late in the season, AND lets not forget dlinemen retiring etc ,9-7 if that's our worst i still see us easily tripping into a 11-5 season next year.. how in the world can anyone think this much turmoil can happen two years in a row?
if that happens we are jinxed OR RG really does have it in for Jerry and Jerry should sell and step away..just saying given all the odd calls especially in the playoffs and big games over the years, I'm starting to wonder..
while i don't support the coaching stadff 100% they did win 13-3 in 2014 and 2016 and as horrible as we played we got to 9-7 so i doubt those scenarios play out the same way with injuries and suspensions to key players and 11-5 isn't hard IMO..so as philly fan , your opinion are skewed ie BiasI appreciate your thought process here. The QB position is one of the most instinctual in sports. They have to do things naturally that aren't very natural. Has anyone even considered the possibility that he may not be a natural QB? Those guys are born. Sure you can have guys who push themselves into becoming good, but only a natural can push himself into becoming great. It is singularly the hardest position to fill in all of sports.
And as to your other point. You asked a question, how could that much turmoil happen two years in a row? Well the year before you had zero turmoil and basically zero injuries. Everything lined up perfectly and you failed under the weight of your own success. And this year with all the "turmoil" you fell flat on your faces. Given both scenarios I have to believe you have a 9-7 to a 10-6 team max with your currant coaching staff. While it may be years before you see so much turmoil it may be that long before things line up like the year before.
