Is there some real world similarities to the two of them? Both mobile QB's. Both considered somewhat inaccurate at times and prone to poor decisions. Both considered tough guys for the most part. Jacksonville appears to be looking hard at upgrading the position after handing Bortles the keys for 4 years. Just wondering what other folks think.
Any of you would struggle if your butt was getting bounce off the turf as much as Dak’s did. Stop all of this bs comparing. Dak is way better than Blake- come’on Man!!!

If Bortles team beats Pittsburg today I guess this discussion will be null and void. PS. I think they will get slaughtered. I just hope PBurg can beat the Patriots next week.

if you compare this year Dak to Blake bortles Yes they have some likness's but IMO Daks better look at what he did last year and BB career hes under 60% CP..Funny how daks OFF Year is being compared to aguy like BB who is in the 2nd round of the playoffs and their numbers miirrior each other , Jacksonville fans aren't calling for BB to be replaced, are thye? the old Cowboys.com site had 5 threads on how Dak sucks so hard he should be 2nd string.. 2016 Dak blows bortles out of the water this year similar , I'm sure somewhere in the middle is Daks truth and in this league that's is good enough to start and win with a TEAM around him..

Jacksonville hit lightening in bottle this year with Fornette and 10yrs of 1st round draft picks because of how bad they were and some key FAs. So Bortles isn't being asked to save the day..

you give Dak that defense this year even with all our issue we ended up 9-7 , that defense wins those early blown games against GB and LA..period we are also in playoffs easily..

They are both Alex Smith clones. Bortles has said 3 offensive coordinators in 4 seasons so a lot of instability. I don't see either ever being great pocket passers but in the right offense, they can be productive starters like Smith.

I can see that. OF course Dak is a lot smarter and a much better person overall.
Not even close. McNabb took a team that was garbage to the play offs his second season. He had zero WRs for most of his career. Who of you remembers such all stars like Torrence Small and James Thrash and Todd Pinkston? And those weren't back ups they were starters! At this stage in his career couldn't carry McNabbs jock. Reid didn't feel the need to get a real WR until TO. Dak was dropped into a perfect situation. And basically had the exact same offensive team this year and he looked horrible. The only things Dak has in common with McNabb is that they are both Black, big and play QB. Nothing else.

Yeah McNabb had a guy named Brian Westbrook who was arguably one of the best pass catching backs in the league at that time. Westbrook was a BEAST!

Looks like Blake has done more than Dak.

Would Garrett get to the Championship game with Bortles?

If you told me Big Ben threw for 6 tds and the steelers had 42 points I would have thought the Steelers won by at least 30.

Bortles was 8 for 14 on 3rd down today. He didn’t make any big mistakes. He got himself to the AFC Championship game.

"One of the biggest draft busts"

"And I discredit Aikman all the time, and I consider him one of my favorite celebrities. Aikman had it great, and when things started to fall apart around him, he played like a scrub. He had 5 years in the league where he played at a good to elite level." ----- Matt James

Yeah, and I'm not ashamed of that. Haha

I have things i can point to, and even many outlets put Aikman down as one of the most overrated players of all time. You think it's laughable because you can get into a circlejerk on here with fellow Cowboys fans with nostalgia goggles. Hell, I've caught this place quite a few times downplaying Barry Sanders to prop up Smith.

That's just how it is in fan forums. Outside of this, Aikman is considered by man to be a good/great QB elevated by an historic team.

What you said yesterday was just dumb and looks even dumber today. Own up to it, boi.

What outlet considers Aikman one of the most overrated players of all time. I'd love to read that drivel.
I'm not owning up to anything concerning that bum Blake Bortles.
