The other concerning trend in such games? Lousy run defense.

Dak is Dak, he's not going to magically transform into someone else. But for crying out loud, can we ever fix the run defense? How many years does it take?
"We like our guys."
So, probably never.

I know it's not all his fault but we've seen a multi-year pattern of Dak not winning big games.
He does great against average to bad teams but comes up short.
He get's paid $40 million to win those games and he almost always fails.
Dak is a great talker but his skills have diminished as far as becoming an above average QB.
To begin with , yes he’s over paid. He is closer to average to above average but like most teams without an elite QB , arguably enough to build around.

The only reason we were having success this season was because of our top 10 defense which was only giving up less than 15 points a game not our bottom tier offense.

If our defense can’t carry us then our season is going to end in disappointing fashion again.

At some point...the offense has to generate clock eating scores. Rodgers Brady....they do it and that's why they are deemed elite.

I know....team game. Yet... somehow...certain QBs are known for it.

Yea, some QB’s are.

I’m not sure though why we’d mention our QB in the company as those elite QB’s?

He is magically transforming into a worse version of himself as a QB though.

He won't run the ball, he's slow and plodding, he's turning it over, he makes bone head decisions, and his accuracy is as bad as I've seen it in 7 years....

He's regressed and is magically becoming someone else, in a worse way though lol
but according to many on here he was the #1 QB last year and in 2016.....his quotes are better than ever though

Dak will always lose big games for the same reason Romo did.. Because people will instantly declare a game not to have a big game the instant the game goes final and the Cowboys win..

you make a great point. scoring X amount of points quickly is not the same as scoring the same X amount of points for the entire game. quick scores leads to the defense getting tired and playing soft. thats why its rare for teams that take big leads early keep that lead throughout the game. Dak can't do anything well consistently and why the other team is never out of the game.

The whole team comes up small in big stage games where there's a lot of media focus and all eyes nationally are on them. They can't handle it far too often and just wilt in these moments down to a man. It's almost like deep down they expect to blow it. Definite monkey on their backs, or snake bitten, whichever is more descriptive of this problem.

Those 2 INTs yesterday were not on Dak. Michael Irvin said and explained how not so. So did Greg Olson and a few other ex-receivers. Why are people stubbornly still putting those 2 INTs on Dak? Other than those 2 INTs, Dak played very good and led this Offense to 28 points at Green Bay, which would have been more points had our receivers stop running lazy and scared routes.

Ah yes, the revisionist “it’s only a big game if we lose” nonsense

Truly one of my favorite shallow fan tantrums

Quick question.... When Dak plays well and has his team up by 14.... or when he plays well against teams like the Bucs game (last season) and lead them to what appears to be a game winning drive but Brady or Rodgers drive down the field under a minute to put their team in game winning fg range....

Or when Dak plays well and convert important 3rd down conversions BUT it gets called back because of holding, or offensive pass interference, or illegal formation, or hands to the face by one of our linemen......

How is any of that Dak's fault???

Please don't get me wrong, Dak has got to take that next step up THIS SEASON, and play better, no question.... but which one of those situations listed above were Dak's fault???

While you figure that one out, I hear alot of people talk about the 49ers playoff game as if that was ALL Dak's fault but.... nobody has ever answered this question.....

1. What quarterback in the NFL has won a playoff game when their defense gives up around 200 yards on the ground and the entire team commits 14, or 15 penalties in that playoff game.

I ask this question because some people expect things of Dak that no other quarterbacks have been able to do. That's why they avoid this question. Can any of you answer this question???

I'll wait.....

Problem is, he's getting paid like he's on their level.

Every good quarterback gets paid, you don't have to be elite . I believe Watson has one of the biggest contracts in NFL history.... I don't see the whining and crying over him getting paid.

Its hilarious how people cry about quarterback money like Dak is the first to receive a contract. I guess some people haven't been watching football over the last couple of decades.

He made one bad int that was actually on him, but he redeemed his bad play by giving us a 14 point lead.

The run defense was the problem yesterday, just like it has been all year. Maybe you should ask McCarthy to put Dak on the defensive line to help stop the opposing team's running game...

Atleast it would make better sense of people blaming Dak for what happens on the defense beyond his control. As a matter of fact.... what other quarterbacks in NFL history has been blamed for the defense getting abused like Dak does??

On 3rd & 4th down in OT the Cowboys carry four tight ends game day not a one of them was targeted . Here’s a thought have Schultz and pick one of the other three both about seven or eight yards past the line of scrimmage on opposite sides of the field or a flair out in the flat one of two rookie TE’s . Anything but straight drop back 4 Panic time.
