Dak Critics haven't been proven wrong

I completely agree. Of course Dalton nor Rush were better than Dak. The point is when you look at the team record in those seasons with all three quarterbacks it's eerily similar thus suggesting that Dak isn't a game changer MVP as some would have you believe.
Maybe he wasn’t those years.

Most people will argue to there blue in the face before changing opinions. I've come to the realization that Dak is not the QB to take us to the superbowl or win it. We should have been drafting his successor for years now and should have never been resigned with that ridiculous contract.

Now in 2016 I believe that Romo should have got his job back as that was probably our best chance at a superbowl imo, however Dak had a phenomenal rookie season building off the success of Zeke.

Always said early on in his career that he was the product of the talent around him and showed improvement each year. Also said we could win a superbowl with him if we built a proper team(both sides of the ball) around him as long as he drove the bust straight.

However, giving him a ridiculous contract the first go around coming off a major injury was moronic. We have now seen what he truly is and hes not that guy. Good/great regular season player but is atrocious in the post season.

It's not entirely his fault however he's been given top tier OLs, premier running game, elite WR's, above average TE's and etc. Sometimes multiple of these in the same year.

He's having a good year so far but mvp'ish? Hardly. Maybe looking at face value stats. 2nd in passing yards, 6th in comp%, tied for 13th with three other qbs for passer rating but 3rd in adjusted QBR rating. The offense has also put up two games with no points in the second half.

Has Dak greatly improved? Yes
Is Dak the product of the talent Jerry has provided him on offense? IMO yes
Good regular season QB? Yes
Good postseason QB? No

He just doesnt have the "IT" factor when it matters.
Best post.

I don’t need to ask anyone.

You’re right there with em. You just pretend the play the fence.

What you’re doing right now is Dak over Dallas 101.
You obviously haven’t followed me over the years nor are you reading my other post on the subject.

I simply provided factual data you can’t dispute. Like trolling the trolls. Lol

Tony Romo seasons he played every game.

2007 record 13-3
2009 record 11-5
2011 record 8-8
2012 record 8-8

You can troll Dak threads all you want.

And stating factual data isn’t choosing Dak over Dallas.

I certainly wish we had an elite QB . But we don’t. Whose fault is that?

Yup the haters are going to be in a mental institution if he continues to play this well and all the national press continues to praise him

And if he wins the MVP? lol

Just shows you what their agenda is

Fans of the team would be estatic that he is playing this well …

And to be clear I’ve had and continue to have my doubts. But I would love for him to have an amazing year and win MVP.

Dak Prescott seasons when he did not miss any games.

2016 record 13-3
2017 record 9-7
2018 record 10-6
2019 record 8-8
2021 record 11-5
2023 record 12-5

2025 (so far) record 2-2-1

It might seem that I and other Dak critics need to eat Crow given how well Dak is playing now, but all of the criticisms/doubts we had were legitimate.
He hadn't shown that he was a "Force Multiplier" type QB where he would elevate his team despite being short handed. He did struggle in many big game situations and came up small. He did talk a good game but didn't always back it up on the field in crucial games. Him demanding to be the highest paid QB in the NFL when he hadn't proven that he was deserving of $60 Million a year.
Having said all that, this year he isn't proving critics wrong, he's just seems to have elevated his play and worked on overcoming those legitimate criticisms. He is playing at an Elite level and seems to have reached a point similar to Romo where in 2014 things finally began to click and he reached a level where he figured out the game at a high level.
I hope Dak continues on this progression and shows that he has overcome any deficiencies he displayed previously and shows that he has reached Elite status.
He's playing same way he did 2 years ago. MVP Form.

Just needs to prove it in the Tourney. We are all reluctantly in the bus again waiting to see if this one is different. Fair or not, with that defense.

That's what most of us believe, I think.

The small % of you who are obsessed with everything he does are the other opinion. And there's a small % who will justify everything wrong with the team to back their boy.

Rest of us just want to win again.

Of course. But some fans choose to root for their agenda over Cowboy wins.

Shoot, most of us realize Dak isn’t the greatest QB and want for a great elite QB.

But we also realize our dysfunctional ownership with puppetry head coaches and lesser defenses isn’t the greatest breeding ground for winning championships.

Anyone who doesn’t realize Dak much like Romo is propping up this less than average franchise from much worse .

Yes , I get it they are rooting for us to hit rock bottom and Dak is preventing that so we can draft our next Mahomes but the fact is most teams have to build around less than Elite QB’s and this organization has failed or at least come up short .

Would a greater QB made a difference. Perhaps but those aren’t the cards we were dealt. Many other franchises have built contenders around our level of QB.

Sorry to cherry pick...but I have asked about this before without any replies.

If the "strong roster" helped Rush be so much better....did it not do the same for Dak? Have you said as much?

More specificall...it was said "the defense rallied" around Rush?

Why not Dak too?

It's a bit moot at this point. Fun but unproductive. Looking fiorward?
Hypothetically speaking, if the defense rallied around Rush, but not around Dak, my guess would be either they don't like Dak (which seems unlikely) or they didn't think Dak needed the rally.

We all want to win again. Realistically what are the chances with our dysfunctional ownership.

Blaming our lack of more success on our QB is totally short sighted. There’s many contributing factors.

How much of an angry loser do you have to be to make this post now?

The ones who literally "hate" him aren't worth reading.
The ones who liked him, or were willing to give him a chance, only to now refuse to think he will end the season any differently mostly do so after so many disappointments.
The ones who loved him from the start and refuse to see use critical thinking...again, not worth reading.

There are a lot of people in between, who have cautious optimism, or doubt him, but hope they're wrong.

I don't even know what my point of view is anymore. But if he gets us to the promised land, I'll send him some milk and honey.

6 or 7 win QBs don’t with MVPs.

Ask 2024 Joe Burrow.
