Dak Critics haven't been proven wrong

Hypothetically speaking, if the defense rallied around Rush, but not around Dak, my guess would be either they don't like Dak (which seems unlikely) or they didn't think Dak needed the rally.
A good theory. I suppose even pro athletes can find an extra gear somewhere?

It's not a big deal I just found the comment curious.

Ha ha
Yup the haters are going to be in a mental institution if he continues to play this well and all the national press continues to praise him

And if he wins the MVP? lol

Just shows you what their agenda is

Fans of the team would be estatic that he is playing this well …

And to be clear I’ve had and continue to have my doubts. But I would love for him to have an amazing year and win MVP.
Has anyone won the Come back Player and MVP of the year award in the same year?

Dak seems to have a problem with consistency.
He has played well before.

Not sure what the issue is.

He sure has outperformed his 4th round draft position.

He just needs to keep playing at a high level to offset the cap hit on the team for us to be competitive.
The issue is purely mental. He gets in his own head. He starts to panic, things speed up around him and he starts making mistakes. It's usually against good defenses and when things start to go wrong for him, you see it in his eyes and he struggles to recover until it's too late. During high pressure games he has trouble shrugging things off and feels he has do too much too quickly and bam. When he's calm, relaxed and having a good time, we see what we've seen so far this year.

You ever play some kind of sport or physical game and that doubt creeps into your head of "I hope I don't screw this shot up" and it ends up causing it to happen because you psyched yourself out? Same thing. He had that nasty ankle break and we saw it far more frequently afterward. If he realized this and got cognitive training to combat it, I've no doubt he would stop choking in the playoffs because he's a fantastic QB when he's calm and relaxed.

We all want to win again. Realistically what are the chances with our dysfunctional ownership.

Blaming our lack of more success on our QB is totally short sighted. There’s many contributing factors.
What do you think the team record would be this season with Mayfield and Parsons?

In my view it would be 4-1. That's why I'm not a huge fan of Dak Prescott. He isn't worth his contract and it weakens the roster as a result.

I agree he isn’t worth it. And be said other or better QB’s could have possibly taken us further. But that’s not my point here .

We have already been here done that. He had a great 2023 regular season and came in 2nd for the MVP. This is why there is such a divide here. Us haters have seen it all with Dak. We know the outcome or at the very least he has to prove is wrong, as we have been let down too many times.

So when we see these posts early in the season, we laugh and point at the homers.

Everytime you think about posting how awesome Dak is, go back and watch the green bay or San Fran games.

Moutain Molehill has completely lost it, throwing 99 yard pick six. Dak has a better record.

It might seem that I and other Dak critics need to eat Crow given how well Dak is playing now, but all of the criticisms/doubts we had were legitimate.
He hadn't shown that he was a "Force Multiplier" type QB where he would elevate his team despite being short handed. He did struggle in many big game situations and came up small. He did talk a good game but didn't always back it up on the field in crucial games. Him demanding to be the highest paid QB in the NFL when he hadn't proven that he was deserving of $60 Million a year.
Having said all that, this year he isn't proving critics wrong, he's just seems to have elevated his play and worked on overcoming those legitimate criticisms. He is playing at an Elite level and seems to have reached a point similar to Romo where in 2014 things finally began to click and he reached a level where he figured out the game at a high level.
I hope Dak continues on this progression and shows that he has overcome any deficiencies he displayed previously and shows that he has reached Elite status.
He is playing well so far this season. I hope he can keep it up through the year and stay healthy. We have seen this movie before.

I don’t understand if you hate him so much why are these people still Cowboys fans. Makes no sense to me.
Being a Cowboys fan >>>>>>>>>>>>> Being a Dak fan.

Simple enough?

I was a Cowboys fan before, during and after his time here. Doesn't mean I can't hate specific. For example, Deion. I can't stand him. Doesn't change the fact I was a Cowboys fan during his time with the 'Boys.

Mayfields tenacity and focus late in the game when things seem impossible...is astounding. He had guys out too.

He's like an out of control tarin that manages to stay on the tracks!.

It is indeed a team game...but QB has a lot to do with guys being able to make plays.

I tried to explain this very thing earlier. But peeps are just hellbent to ride the high horse about who's a fan or not.

I think it's weird.
