Dak Critics haven't been proven wrong

The reality is if you put any of the quarterbacks below behind this o-line with the excellent running game, best kicker in the game with more than enough weapons to utilise they would all ball out as well...

That's 10 other quarterbacks in the league and I would add Herbert as well given the line he has to play behind but the above 10 will suffice.

Again, it's not to detract from how well Prescott has played but the tape is out there over the past 10 years. When he is asked to do more with less he has fallen flat on his face time and time again especially against remotely good teams with good defenses and even when it's more of a a 50/50 pick'em he failed to produce his best on two occasions with loaded teams against the 49ers.

My main take so far this season is how amazing the run game has been and how well the offensive line has played despite the injuries - that's more relevant than thinking Prescott has suddenly made a huge jump in year 10 - if he balls out against the better teams with the good defenses during the regular season and in the play offs then I will sit up and take note. Until that point, it's simply as you were. I have seen this movie time and time again over the past 10 seasons.

Regular season Dak is usually pretty good. This year has been no different. He has played very well so far this year. Good for him and good for the team. Until he can play well over the course of a post season, he is who he is. Dak has always crumbled under pressure. Mental Pressure. He did it at MS STate, every one talks about him taking them to #1 for the first time ever but fail to mention that they lost like every game after that. He does the same in the NFL, he is good enough to get you in the dance but can't play well enough once there to make a difference. I hope he changes that before he retires or moves on, I just want a SB win, don't care who the QB is that gets it. Just get it.

It's just the same old posters claiming gotcha moments after Prescott has massaged his stats and filled his boots against bad teams like the Giants and Jets. Let them have their little moment until they go back under a rock after Prescott lays an egg against a good team until they think of the excuses to come back and blame the weather, the sun in the eyes, dropped catches, the o-line, etc as opposed to the elephant in the room...

The Packers' D is not as good as some believe on here and that will play out in future games against good teams like the Lions who will put up a ton of points against them and the Eagles' D is again overrated having overseen a major overhaul in personnel and their best defender got ejected before the Cowboys game.

He hadn't shown that he was a "Force Multiplier" type QB where he would elevate his team despite being short handed. He did struggle in many big game situations and came up small. He did talk a good game but didn't always back it up on the field in crucial games. Him demanding to be the highest paid QB in the NFL when he hadn't proven that he was deserving of $60 Million a year.
Having said all that, this year he isn't proving critics wrong, he's just seems to have elevated his play and worked on overcoming those legitimate criticisms. He is playing at an Elite level and seems to have reached a point similar to Romo where in 2014 things finally began to click and he reached a level where he figured out the game at a high level.
I hope Dak continues on this progression and shows that he has overcome any deficiencies he displayed previously and shows that he has reached Elite status.

Dak is better than average, hes not elite, but hes better than most. End of debate.

Lol. Oh you. I didn't say it was nothing. But in the grand scheme of things we won the turnover battle on points even with equal turnovers. If people can magically "if" away Murray's fumble for a better result, Green Bay can do the same with Rodgers' fumble. The game giveth and the game taketh away.

Well...we do agree on the "chaos theory" of it. And it most assuredly *is* very difficult to pick a "critical moment"...especially so early in the game. All the "what ifs".

I assure you, I have been very careful and deliberate chosing that fumble as a "moment". We just disagree about it, is all.

In the bigger picture of things, you might have to take my opinion at least as lightly as you do the fumble.

Which means one or more of the following:
1. Cooper Rush is a good quarterback...no he's a practice squad quarterback.
2. The Cowboys had friendly schedules during the above seasons...I would argue true.
3. The Cowboys have had strong rosters during those seasons...I would argue true as well.
= the quarterback play has been largely irrelevant in accordance to results during those seasons, especially as Prescott had a similar if not even worse w/l record when compared with a practice squad quarterback like Rush or a washed quarterback like Dalton.
