I agree but the problem with me is that I'm not convinced that Dak is a franchise qb. A franchise qb makes people around him better, they don't need pro bowlers at every position to be successful and right now I feel that Dak does. This is the year to prove himself, if we run Zeke into the ground and only throw when we need to then that doesn't prove anything to me.

He sure made Beasley better in 2016.

I'll give him that but I need to see him progress as a passer, to me he doesn't see the field good and miss a lot of opportunities. Right now he's not comfortable throwing to the outside wrs and in this offense he's going to need to do that.

Zeke’s rookie-record rushing yardage had a lot to do with the success of the 2016 Dak-to-Beaze dink&dunk game.

In 2017, after defenses tightened up on our running game, coupled with Zeke being lost for 6 games, the need to throw downfield negatively affected the Dak/Beaze hookup.

In 2017, after defenses tightened up on our running game, coupled with Zeke being lost for 6 games, the need to throw downfield negatively affected the Dak/Beaze hookup.

Actually, it was defenders ability to single outside and put a defender over the top of Beasley, as well as Dez getting 35 more targets then he had in 2016, while Beasley had 35 fewer in 2017. Beasley's YPC dropped from 11.1 to 8.7 because there was usually a second defender to deal with.

Hopefully he does, the coaches and fo see him more than we do and they have confidence in him so there's that.

That was kinda by default, whenever I watch a rookie or inexperience qb usually their favorite target is the tight end because it's the easiest throw because it's closer. That being said the slot wr is in that same category, but defensive coordinators noticed this to and took Beasley away especially on 3rd downs.
