Lol, I guess Atlanta doesn't need Julio, The Steelers don't need AB and the Lions are doing just as great without Megatron. Sure Dak, keep waiving that company flag, right until you become JG's next scapegoat.
They are a luxury, no doubt, but how many teams have a true elite #1 wr. They're as rare as blue diamonds, ergo not necessary.

I think the numnuts saw Brady do it w/o a top tier RB and so thought everyone could, not even being capable of a simple analysation to understand that Brady is a top 5 all time QB and so is not the correct sample to use.
Rb's last 3-4 years on average in the NFL . The question has never been their value, the question has been justifying a high draft pick for them. Zeke has brought them back in vogue.

It depends on the #1 guy......is he a selfless team player like Michael Irvin or Andre Reed or a diva like TO, Keyshawn, Dez, etc.

We simply need WRs who do their jobs and don't bother Dak with the number of chances they are getting. We are a run first team, use the nacks and TEs a lot as receivers, so the WR touches will be limited. So, we just shut up, get open, and catch it when you get the rare pass thrown your way.

days of a #1 are over. This gives me hope.
So teams aren't going to be looking for the next Antonio or Julio anymore?

Are you serious? You want a bunch of boy scouts who don't trouble the waters, and that'll get you 8-8 every single year. Dak better grow a pair or else you're going to be seeing a bunch of JAG WRs who are just happy to have a job.

His Statement is true, and the numbers prove it..Give me three number twos production.Thats what 800 yards 8 tds. THATS 24 TDS. about what Dak threw for In 2016. HE RUNS for Six a year thats 30..Thats not counting what you get from a tightend, a rec back yada.

Julio Is not the production horse that ypu think he is. PLEASE dont get caught up in FF..Tds pay the bills..Yards are not everything..

The question that needs to be asked is why say you dont need a number 1..How about we have new guys who are working their tails off to be on our offense this year. COMPETION to be the best is our goal..If that happens all that junk works itself out...This is nothing but media drama with Dez.

CB's don't last much longer, then why have they increased in value?

More convenient I would say. They haven’t recovered from the fact that Romo quit on us.

What a ******* statement. Saying a guy that played through multiple injuries including a broken back quit. He was relegated to the bench by Garrett and company not by any choice of his.

Not only that but he mentored Dak even after he was healthy and clearly wanted on the field. Not all QBs do such a thing.

The term "#1 receiver" is a modern day invention. Stop obsessing over it.

You need an effective passing game, regardless of whether fans can identify one of them as a "#1 receiver" or not.

Not saying he's 100% right. Obviously you need decent guys who can get separation. When dak didn't have dez i felt he was better as he spread the ball out more and then used his legs if nothing was there. He was better at seeing the whole field. When he had dez i felt he was making way to much of an effort to make dez happy and get him involved. The minnesota game his rookie year comes to mind, the saints game as well. Both games i believe dez had alot of targets.

We'll see this year though. Hopefully dak can get back to spreading the ball around. I think the loss of witten actually hurts him more than a number 1 wideout.
