I trust Dak to do a decent job with what he's asked to do, but you can only makes so much happen when well 3 down inside the 5 playing from behind in a playoff game ...

it ain't Dak's game that worries, or that Jason has convinced JJ & Co a Dak friendly approach is the ticket.

I see a shored up to improved OL, I see a press machine trying to deny Rico will play, I see a lot of play makers with a *bounce* in their step to get separation: Gallup, Austin, Hurns, and Thompson (notice 3 of the 4 have blazing 2nd level speed), even Olawale will make a LB account for him, By the way, all those guys Beasley room to work

interesting moves, even bold this off season, and even under budget.

I also see Zeke as the one who (whatever else happens) has to get 6+ first downs and 1 TD per game.

can Garrett make it gel? by game 1? game 8?

Dak Prescott - QB - Cowboys
Dak Prescott said he doesn't think the Cowboys need a No. 1 receiver.

"I don’t know if any team in the league necessarily needs a No. 1 receiver," said Prescott.

I never heard the term "No. 1 receiver" until after I got on the internet 20 years ago.

You need guys who can get open and catch passes, and a QB who can find them.

Cedrick Wilson may end up being the real star...just wish once that Dallas rookie WR's and TE's would get reps in real games. BTW, Noah Brown is NOT the answer....not a difference maker.

Does anyone think Gallup is going to hit the ground running fresh out of the gate? More often than not there is a long learing curve with rookie WRs.

Hurns and Austin need to take charge. I never wanted to have to bank on Williams and it looks like it's no longer part of the equation anyway.

This WR corp is a HUGE question mark.

We'll have to see if he changes his mind when the freed up safety/CB, that would have been doubling the #1 WR, is blindsiding him.
For the most part teams stopped doubling Dez a couple years ago. Witten was not drawing doubles. Beasley had a LB under and a CB in his pocket many times. He is still on the team.

I really hope the coaches use Austin correctly. Don't like the RB/scat back role for him. I believe he can do more. Especially deep.

My thoughts exactly. "Can the coaches utalize him properly".

I was actually expecting Hurns to start over Gallup, if injuries are a thing of the past for him.

Hurns's injury concerns, none of these WRs have even taken a snap with Dak under center, let alone with a star on their helmets.

Too many question marks for my liking. Even the TE position is wide open.

Would have like to have snatched Landry from Miami... seem to be conflicting things about him as a team mate... But he has sticky hands.. I know that. But looks like the Browns win again lol. Cant win a game but they win at everything off the field.

Many look at this as "refreshing". I understand the desire for change at the WR position, but continuity is a major factor in execution. How can you have that when your QB has zero experience with the entire corp of WRs?

I am looking at the positives, and hoping our defense will be what I think they can be, and win games... I wasn't counting on the offense. I am just hoping to once be good on both sides of the ball... not holding my breath.

Had to include "Dak is going as a mid-range QB2 in early mock drafts", huh? Hmm, I wonder why?

"Paper thin receiving corps"

I expect this kind of hyperbole from posters here, but not from professional writers.

Thanks, bloke, for expressing such disgust for the posters here.
I always thought there was something special about you, mate!

well, it has worked for brady and the patriots....

id personally rather have 4 guys that average out to 2's...than one 1 and a bunch of 4s.....

The Patriots do have a number one though.. Gronk.

And Cooks is better than anything we have now..
