well, it has worked for brady and the patriots....

So Dak is chump change? Disrespecting our QB like that doesn't win you any fan points. Dak is plenty good enough to make this work with no real 1WR. The O-line and Zeke have Dak's back.
We'll see. And who's disrespecting Dak? I just said he isn't Brady. Loved what he did his rookie year, not so much late last year. Hope he improves but not blind enough not to have any concerns. This is his 3rd year. I expect improvements. I didn't give Romo any excuses and I won't give any to Dak.

He just talk too much .Dak please let your work do the talking .
I think he is so sensitive to criticism which is not a good treat in a leader.

I think he's right. It's all about the QB making the right reads and getting the ball out on time. With or without a number 1 guys will come open, if he can anticipate it and get the ball there the offense will succeed. For him it might actually be better because there isn't the added pressure of trying to get the ball to a specific guy. Just make the read and make the throw.

JD you hit it right on the money with this post. I don’t want to bring up Dez again, but in watching “All or Nothing” Dez wasn’t happy if the ball wasn’t going to him and he made it known.

And the narrative of great WR’s doing that and that they are high maintenance isn’t true for all. I never heard Jerry Rice, Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Jordy Nelson, Wes Walker and many others always b******g about the ball not being thrown their way.

I very much hope Dak returns to form this season but if he doesn’t I don’t feel hopeless because I’m very intrigued by M.White

That's fine but dak seems to do better when he is able to go through his progressions and doesn't feel pushed to target one guy more than others.

With our line, zeke and an accurate qb out wrs will look solid...not worried about it

Dak doesn't need excuses. Who asked you to give him any? You act like that makes you some kind of great guy because you aren't making excuses for him.

If he plays well he'll have no complaints from me. But I love it. I get attacked from the Romo lovers and now the Dak lovers. I must be doing something right. lol

Dak Prescott - QB - Cowboys
Dak Prescott said he doesn't think the Cowboys need a No. 1 receiver.

"I don’t know if any team in the league necessarily needs a No. 1 receiver," said Prescott. "It’s about getting the ball out, spreading the ball around, keeping the defense on its toes." Prescott never quite clicked with Dez Bryant, which could have been a factor in the team cutting him this offseason. Now Prescott is left with a paper-thin receiving corps featuring free agent signing Allen Hurns, Terrance Williams, slot receiver Cole Beasley and third-round rookie Michael Gallup. Dak is going as a mid-range QB2 in early mock drafts.

You need good receivers. And you need a guy that can make the big plays. If you have several guys like that, you are better off. In this day and age with the salary cap I see it detrimental to your team of you have one receiver making 17k per year. I don't think any receiver is THAT good. I think the QB is more important. But you better have 2 or 3 good receivers then.

Dak needs receivers who are quick, can beat man press coverage at the line of scrimmage, and who can make quick/clean cuts in order to get separation. With the new receivers coach and these new receivers who are much better route runners, it all favors Dak, but Dak also has to improve from last season's mistakes. All looks good so far.
