Yeah, that Denver team broke all kinds of records. Reminded me of that Washington team back in '83 before they were taken out by the Raiders. But you could see it coming. I'm not trying to downplay Denver, just pointing out my observations of that season. This sort of revisionist history bothers me. Weak Denver team??? Peyton Manning broke the all time TDs in a season record that year with 55 passing TDs. That Denver team won 13 games and destroyed the patriots and several good teams in the playoffs that year in 2013. That broncos team was a juggernaut but ran into the Seahawks legion of boom defense and got destroyed. People do this all the time where they downplay certain teams to take credit away from the winning team. I can already see if Dak gets to a SB ppl gonna start discrediting the accomplishment because of a “weak nfc” and all this other silliness.
That year the AFC really didn't have a lot of good defenses. And Denver played the defenseless NFCE. Denver basically played the same D all year, until the playoffs. And especially in the SB. I could see it coming from a mile away. But Denver did have one of the more impressive offenses given the circumstances.
