Dak faced the easiest average pass defense DVOA of opponents this season

You have to play the hand you are dealt.

During the 49ers 80s dynasty they had a weak division with only 4 teams and two were bad all the time and the Rams were only good briefly. They got a free division title and 6 wins pretty much every year. Their SB wins still count, though.
Yup and the same for Brady and the Pats

By the way we destroyed NY and Wash twice which nobody else could seem to do. Dak had a big effect on all 3 of the NFC east rankings so you can’t fault him for that
Yep. Philly I believe struggled with every single NFC East matchup. We blew out every single NFC East matchup except one, on the road in Philly.

Dak owns the NFC East since he joined the NFL. He is 32-8 overall.

Dak basically played the same defenses that Jalen Hurts played against. But you same lames were singing his praises. The idiocy must end …

Yep. The Rams, Saints and Falcons were in the NFC West and none were consistent winning teams. All below .500 every year. But the 80s Whiners are considered one of the best teams ever. SMDH

Well, that matches what I saw. He struggled against any team with a semblance of defense. We played a LOT of cupcakes and he took full advantage.
The longer it takes to read a defense, delays the release of the ball and puts more pressure on the OLine. Factor in 3rd in longs with a none effecting running game.

Pretty much the same scenario that our pash rush and DB's thrive on.

One of the greatest.
Dan Fouts is an interesting contrast. He was clearly one of the best QB's of his era but he never had a championship level roster around him. Fans, the media and pundits recognized this and didn't hold it against him when judging him.

I'm not sure what the narrative will be on Dak when his career is over. This year's defense is pretty good. The run game is terrible. If the team loses in the playoffs, will Dak get a pass for it?

Jets were 3rd in defensive DVOA. Prescott was 31/38 255-2td-0int-112 rating.
NE was 9th in defensive DVOA. Prescott was 28/34 261-1td-0int-109 rating.

The only other top 10 DVOA defense Dallas faced was SF and that was . . . not good. Prescott's other less than great games were against average to bad defenses (Mia, Buff, Ariz). Regardless, Dak did well against 2 of the 3 good defenses he faced. The narrative in this thread isn't accurate.

No passes in Dallas.

You nerds and your numbers.

You shouldn’t need numbers to see that Dak is a better player than he’s ever been.

Its funny. Romo got one . . . among some fans. I'm one of them.

If Dak continues to play like this year's Dak and Dallas doesn't win, I would give Dak a pass too. Its a team game.
I definitely think Romo deserved one and Dak may as well, but he will not get one from the NFL overall.

Wild. Now they are blaming Dak because Philadelphia decided to follow up a SB appearance by sucking at pass defense???
LOL.
You know what hurt those teams DVOA? Facing Dak Prescott. Especially the ones who had to do it twice.

Yes he does need to do it in post season.
but that does not warrant the hate he gets from some. They hate him just to hate him. But yet Romo was the same and they act as if he walked on water.

And I like both but was never 100% sold on either.
Criticism isn't hate. Romo threw games away with boneheaded passes into coverage same as Dak. Many times they should have thrown the ball away instead of the INT.

Romo threw a lot of goal line picks. Ended game winning or go ahead drives.
This is where Dak has very few of, probably only a few.

Question for you.

Trailing late in a game as a QB.

Taking a sack hurts the team.
Throwing it away does not help.
At some point you to take the risk and force it to make something happen.

If you are losing games with 30+ points on offense. The QB is not the problem. It is the defense.

Throwing into triple coverage is stupid, when other guys are open...... Both Dak, and Romo are guilty, although Dak, seems to hold on much longer than Romo did.

So maybe our offense sucks. How on earth did we get here? Maybe we should be 1 and 16 or worse.

If you look at your first read and he is not open then go to your second read and he is not open and you have pressure what do you do?

Take the sack?
Throw it away?
Turn over on downs?
Or force it?

All 3 are bad options. Only 1 has a chance of working. If you are behind late you don't have a choice.

It is easy to see from your coach on replay the 3rd/4th option being wide open, but with pressure early you don't get to that point.

There is a reason QB's with a clean pocket play better. It is not rocket science.

If you think Romo or Dak look at their first read and he is open and they decide to ignore it, then do the same for their second read, to then force it on their 3rd read, you are out of your mind.
