He definitely had time last night at times. The notion that he was under duress much of the night seems a bit overblown. I am not sure if he just wasn't seeing the field or guys weren't open or he was gunshy to push the ball down the field, Prescott was pretty brutal last night.

Those numbers confirm the ol' eye test. Dak's struggles aren't due to pass protection. The line was holding up surprisingly well against all the six man pressures. His struggles are mental and mechanical. He's a smart guy though. I have complete faith he will work it out.

Well I do know Dez did one helluva disappearing act. Right up there with whodini as one of the most visually stunning disappearing acts in modern history.

Look, they managed to get pressure at times...especially in the 2nd half. But compared to the old days of 2010-2013--when there was 1-2 seconds max almost every down--.he had light years in the pocket.

He's very fortunate that he may never have to play under those circumstances for multiple games--if not seasons--at a time.
I'm happy for him (and us Cowboys fans) in that regard.

It also helps when your receivers get open. The Giants played a lot of press coverage and I didn't see a lot of Cowboys running in space down the field.

I noticed his failures in the pocket. He would repeatedly exit a clean pocket to allow for QB pressure into an arid throw. Yesterday was a really ugly performance from Dak. For those citing the man coverage-- then Dak should have had space to use his legs to run.

Some people just are bitter about the Romo situation and projecting on Dak. unfortunate. we rideor die with our commander on the field whoever it is. bipolar fickle switching of the hardest position to play in the game after one loss after going 11 straight wins inn a row is the definition of premature. silly talk. especially since it's not all on Dak and everyone knows it. just projecting. basic psychology stuff.

True.

But they seemed to be bringing a lot of blitzes and selling out for the pass rush.

Dak has to learn to make them pay on those plays, and he will in time, but until then he's going to have struggles like that.
