The QB is a rookie. Occasionally he's going to look the part. The WR is a seasoned vet #1 stud that has no right to disappear in games like last night.

He's now the starter of a superbowl contender. The rookie stuff doesn't fly.

If he were the backup forced to play, fine. If this team was garbage like the Rams just trying to build for the future, fine. That's not the reality. It's big boy time. He's the named starter. There's a pro-bowl elite QB on the bench. If he wants to remain the starter, the pro-bowl QB guy on the bench is the bar, not rookies.

11 wins as a team. And for what it's worth (im 26), the last 20 years I feel this is the best overall TEAM we've had. No way to know how Romo would do with this team UNLESS WE PLAY HIM. At least give him a test run before the regular season ends would be a prudent move.

Yeh well if u win as a team u also lose as a team no need to put it all on one player when it's convenient. I agree. dak doesn't do that without a team he also shouldn't take the brunt of one loss either. it's rash and premature to talk about switching expecially to a guy who breaks easy.

Ur thinking of putting Romo in now while it may sound ideal and good is not the way it rolls pragmatically.

It's idealism vs pragmatism. but that idealism is flawed because in hindsight dak wasn't the only onerror "dropping the ball". there are a host of other issues going on that logically don't support it was all on him. sorry I'm trying to be rational here.

Fixed it for you. And fortunately, Romo is so good, he's already got chemistry with Dez. Not because of anything Dez has done, mind you -- he's the same dumb and sloppy route runner, incapable of playing within the complexities of the system, that he's always been. Romo has always propped him up and made him look better than he is.
Dez and Romo are ancient history man. Get over it. My point stands.

It's not just last night. I feel Dak has been "leaving meat on the bone" all season long...but that's me.
I don't disagree...I think Dak has been much more up and down than his 102 QB rating suggests. He has struggled in multiple games this season(GB, Philly, MIN), but has been able to rebound in crucial moments. I still think Dak has done enough to get another shot against Tampa to prove himself. A poor performance against Tampa though, and I think you have to give Romo a long hard look at finishing out the season. No matter what happens Dak is my wk 1 starter in 2017.

What annoys me is that Dak seems to be on some sort of personal mission to prove to everyone that he is a pocket QB.

There were a ton of opportunities last night for him to take off and pick up 5-10 yards. Yet, he just stood back there and threw one erratic pass after another.

Okay Dak, we get it. We view you as a good "throw-first" QB. Now get over your pride and take off!!!

There's a has been on the bench that hasn't played all year and may not take a hit very well any more.

This is what people are choosing to ignore. There's only a couple of instances in NFL history you could even make a legitimate comparison to. If its only Sanchez on the bench, it's not even a discussion. You have a highly thought of QB on the bench, so he needs to perform to keep his job or move aside for the season.

I'm not a Romo fan BUT Dak has been shaky for weeks now but we were winning based on a stunning online, rb and Dak making 3-4 awesome plays.

Last night was the culmination of all the things Dak is struggling with on display. What pains me was watching a possible hof caliber qb riding the pine while calamity occured on the field. I really thought we could have given Romo a series of two but obviosly the coaches are scared of breaking Daks confidence by doing that.

To ignore Tony now is foolish imho.. I think Dak is the future but right now we have to consider a sb and Tony MIGHTgive us a better chance at that yet we are not even going to let him have a single snap?! Crazy stuff.

Give Dak a week off.. put Tony in and see what happens. If Romo breaks down or sucks.. then the answer is clear but maybe the Romo of old comes back and we get the ring we are all waiting for!

Agree. We don't have a true #2 WR. No one to push Dez or compliment him efficiently.

He definitely had time last night at times. The notion that he was under duress much of the night seems a bit overblown. I am not sure if he just wasn't seeing the field or guys weren't open or he was gunshy to push the ball down the field, Prescott was pretty brutal last night.
I said the same thing last night. All I got was excuses about poor offensive line play. Anyone who isn't seeing a regression in Dak's play simply isn't paying any attention. It truly is that simple. But, hey, let's live and die with the rookie and his fading game just because, I suppose.

It's not all on Dak...A performance like last night takes a total team effort.
So Sean Lee sucked according to you? The line sucked according to you? The entire defense sucked according to you? Zeke sucked according to you? No last night was not a team effort, Dak sucked, Bryant sucked, that's it.

Does a clean pocket equal open receivers?

Clean pocket means nothing if he had nowhere to go with the ball.

Now if they could tell me how many open receivers he missed(even ones were he didn't make a throw)... that would be a better indication on how good or bad he played
