Dak Furious

Again, it was a slant that was primary route. He hits his drop and let's go there was at least 2 yards of separation there when he let it go. Pickens has got to expect the defender will ve coming, he coulld have attacked the ball more.

It was a great defensive play, not fault of Dak.
Pickens needs eyes behind his head, but Dak who is actually watching the play has no responsibility. Or do you expect Pickens to turn around, look at the DB, then adjust to make sure the CB can’t position himself to make a play on the balm, then Pickens is also supposed to catch it?

Dak stared him down. By the time Pickens reached where Dak placed the ball, the CB was already breaking, hit it and it was an INT,

At minimum, just say the DB made a great play. Blaming Pickens is asinine.

Didn't blame him, said he shouldered some responsibility.

The defender was 2 and half yards away plenty of separation. Pickens played lazy all night, and that was just one spot he COULD HAVE been more aggressive attacking the ball.

What you call a stare down is a QB taking 3 step drop and firing ball, he was the read. Not that hard to grasp. And I did say the SB made a great play.

You want to blame Dak, be ignorant of reality that's on you. But those of who know what we are watching know its not the case.

...and committed 3 turnovers. Far more important than the 30 points.
What about tying the game in the fourth quarter that doesn’t matter. What happened after that, oh defense

I didn’t forget anything, did you forget we tied the game in the fourth quarter
Might have been closing the game out with us scoring over 40 and them only scoring 16 without the turnovers. Or somewhere in between.

I don't care what time Dak came to the Cowboys. The one variable that is never changes is the GM.

Explain to me with the post season appearances over the last 30 years exactly why does Dallas have the longest tenured GM in the NFL?
So everyone else gets a pass. If that makes you feel better.

But Dak, who is looking at the defender, doesn't have to expect it?

Guaranteed points vs a possible 1st down or turnover on downs. There was no guarantee they would have gotten the 1st down. Running the ball was not a good choice there, so it would have been a passing 4th down try. If they had failed to get the 1st down, everyone would be second guessing his decision.

By passing yards, on average per year, if you look you might be surprised to see that Dak actually has more yards on average than Marino.

Yes, Marino has won more playoff games, but the reality is both are good QB's who have never won a super bowl.

I will admit though, I've never seen Marino watching him play have those deer in the headlights look LOL

Keep in mind, I'm neither a Dak supporter or hater. Dak took his money from Jerry and is stuck playing for Jerry, so he made his bed and he can sleep in it IMO.

When I look at what Hurts in Philly has done and the way he looks playing, I'd almost be worried about them winning another SB with Dak being philly's QB. That said, Hurts has been to two super bowls, winning one, Dak can't get past
the first round it seems if we're lucky enough to get there. Go figure...
Marino threw for 5,084 yards and 48 touchdowns in 1984. Nobody threw for 5K until 2008 and his TD record stood until 2004. Went to multiple AFCCG and a SB. But Dak averages more yards in a time when everyone does.

Average YPG 1984, 178. 2024 YPG 224. Marino 1984 YPG 318. TDs per game 1984 1.3. 2024 1.6. Marino 1984 3.0. But ya, Dak has more yards. So he and Marino are the same, "good QBs".

lol..

How was he supposed to attack the ball? It was a slant…. By defender hit the ball up.

Of course it was the read, and he stared down his read..

Its a timing play. He doesn't have time to survey field. He drops back lets go when his back foot lands. And there was 2 1/2 yards separation. Pickens looked to catch it with his chest too me and not reach out and snag the ball, that's what I mean by protrct against the defense and attacking the ball.

At thos point were going to have to agree to disagree.

Wow.

No, the game was never tied, sir, and that late interception sealed it. The really issue was failing to score a touchdown in the first half.

There was blame to go around, but these are the kind of must-win big games that Dak always gets outplayed in.

These are what the big salary is for.

I think it goes without saying that Marino was a better QB than Dak, but at the end of the day, no matter how great a players stats are, it's just not as "great" without having a super bowl win on your resume.

I mean Phillip Rivers has more yards passing than Marino, but for some reason I still think of Marino as a better QB, doesn't change the fact that neither won a super bowl.

All by himself?

Yet. Rivers is now on Colts practice squad.
