Dak Furious

Marino made it to 3 AFC CG's and 1 super bowl. How does Dak compare with that?
Yeah, but Dak is averaging more passing yards per season (without the next couple of games still left to be played counted in this year) than Marino!

Take that naysayer!

Please note, I am being sarcastic.

You're missing my point.

Let's play Seseme Street and play "One of these things is not like the other"?

Dan Marino
Phillip Rivers
Dak Prescott
Brad Johnson

Lets play the same game using the below now...

Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Dak Prescott
Nick Foles

No way does Dak Prescott get compared to Peyton Manny, Tom Brady, Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman IMO for that matter.
Everyone knows Trent Dilfer was carried by the defense but realistically with the rules as they are these days in favour of offenses, those days are long gone.

Nick Foles played lights out in the Superbowl. He was MVP and played at an elite level whilst the defense gave up a ton of points. So I don't understand the comparison with Prescott.

The only comparison between Prescott and Foles is that overall per careers, Prescott is a much better QB than Foles, hands down.

Foles was just in the right place at the right time, and like you said, played lights out and took advantage of the situation he was in AND won a super bowl.

Prescott, for as good as he is, stands a good chance of not even sniffing past a first round playoff game, if he can actually get there.

As lucky as Foles was, one could argue that Prescott is VERY unlucky that Jerry is his leader. That said, it was Jerry who made Prescott one of the highest paid players in the NFL, if not thee most highest paid.

I don't blame the players or coaches for the position their in, but Jerry.

Jerry both likes his guys and likes drama, it sells...

The defense was too bad to keep it competitive anyway. Typical flawed Jerry squads . Always around 7-9 losses

He did say something close to that, he was asked can I quote you and DAK said sure , I think putting up 30 points is pretty freaking good actually. Especially with a team that was beat up like us. But you get it, he’s always gonna be the blame even if he was injured. It was his fault.
QB's ALWAYS get the blame. Don;t act like this is just Dak.

They get the blame, the credit, and the money. It's how it's ALWAYS worked.

And not just any defense, one of the top 5 defenses of all time, with a 2000 yard running back. If that's what people are saying Dak needs to get to even an NFC championship game, then I agree.

60 million reasons to not be mad. He knew what he was getting into when he agreed to that contract. Which is most likely what Jerry had to give him just to keep him here. I'm pretty sure he wanted out, but took the money. To his benefit, he hasn't complained.

An irate Dak Prescott was seen screaming at his sideline during a consequential first-half drive during the Dallas Cowboys' defeat to the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football.

Dallas was trailing 17-6 late in the second quarter when Prescott led the Cowboys down the field on a strong drive.

But multiple penalties backed Dallas up to a 2nd & 25 on their own 42. Prescott hit target CeeDee Lamb for a ten-yard gain, following that up on 3rd & 15 with an 11-yard strike to tight end Jake Ferguson.

It left the Cowboys with a tough choice on 4th & 4 from the Detroit 37 yard line. Rather than go for the first down to extend the drive, coach Brian Schottenheimer chose to take the easy points instead.

Prescott was furious, seen blowing up at his sideline in a rage to go for the kick rather than try and keep their momentum going.

Kicker Brandon Aubrey was able to easily knock the kick through, but Schottenheimer's choice left the Lions with plenty of time to extend their lead.

We're his teammates screaming at him when he threw PICK 6 after PICK 6 the last couple years, and completely flaming out in the playoffs?

Hmmmm.... they probably should have

The logic that Schottenheimer followed there was sound.

Team was down by two scores at that point and kicking the field goal would bring them within one score.

In fact, that decision helped the Cowboys get within 3 points in the 4th quarter.

Every decision leading up to that point is subjective of course, but they went from 3 points down in the 4th quarter to losing by 14 points.

You cannot expect your offense to score 45 points very often to win games where the other team scores 44 points.

There of course is plenty of blame to go around from the coaches to the players and even the referees, but in the end it comes down to the same thing it has most of the season .. bad defense.
Our defense couldn't hold them for 45-55 seconds.....sad.

and our offense could not score a td in the first half. We made our kicker do FIVE fuicking Fgs. AND...get this....our AWESOME offense could not score in our last two possesions.

So you can fuq right off blaming only the defense.
