and if Dak plays great in post season and they still lose I will be just as disappointed. As for pay his pay is on par within market value I'm sorry top QB contracts are at 50 mill and about to go up again. You don't take the numbers on that given season when a QB hit FA and say I will give you 30 mill when market value was over 50 mill. Now if you want to say all QB are overpaid I will gladly agree with you

I’m saying a quarterback making that kind of money has to consistently earn it.

The market can be whatever it is, it doesn’t mean I have to overpay a guy who’s not earning it. Teams get out of bad contracts and they trade or cut big money quarterbacks when they no longer feel they’re worth it.

Look at the Eagles for example, the gave up multiple high draft picks and paid Wentz a ton of money. When it wasn’t working out? They drafted Hurts and moved on.

No I gave credit to the team as well but fact is no QB on this team has been able to get this team to post season back to back. You don't like it tough I really do not care what you like. You come here slamming this team constantly. I back the Cowboys and yes Dak. When he is no longer here guess what I will back the next guy just as well.
You back Dak more than the Cowboys.

Why else would you credit him with the 4 games we won while Rush we the QB?

Cooper Rush is a Cowboy also and you did nothing but post Dak stats for 5 weeks every time someone tried to suggest Rush was playing well. You're Dak over team.

Amazing what happens when you have a GM that isn't a complete narcissist, and can move on without worrying if other people perceive it as a "mistake." Just look how long Garrett was HC, when he should have been fired the second the 2013 loss to the Matt Flynn-led packers game was over.

Right, it does not make sense to throw more money when it's not being earned, that is bad money. However, I think we all know JJ does not work that way and he will not want to eat all that dead money if Dak hits the curb so he will extend him.

No I don't. You may think that but I was just as hardcore on Romo. As for Cooper he came in and held down the fort and have said in my view he saved the season. His overall play anyone with an ounce of sense knew it was limited a lot more so that Dak. As I said when Dak is gone I will support the next man up and hope they can lead this team. You are the one who is obsessed with Dak.

Jerry has been known to double down rather than admitting his mistakes.

This week?? LMAO, last season they spent more time on his "slump" and whether he was in one or not than Brady and Rodgers vying for the MVP.

You say that now but for 5 weeks anytime someone said Rush was playing well you thought you needed to post some Dak stats I guess to show what the Cowboys are missing without Dak or something.

Yes because Dak is a better QB than rush anyone who know anything will say the same thing. Even TV critics of Dak would say he is better than Rush. I like Rush he proved he could come in and help this team win, is he the same caliber of QB no and stats show it. Having said that I think guys like Mahomes, Allen and Borrow are great QB I would love to have them but they are not aviable right now this team has Dak and I believe in him regardless of how you or anyone else feels. I know these QB do not grown on trees and you can just go out and grab one.

I agree. I think there are always reclamation projects out there if you know where to look. As long as the guy has some talent and is willing to do the work.

There are, but you also have to realize most of those projects fail.

Finding a qb might be the most difficult thing to do in all of pro sports. It's the reason teams like the Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Bengals, Browns, Washington, Panthers, etc have gone so long without. Before Josh Allen Buffalo had struggled since the days of Jim Kelley. Miami has Tua playing well, before him Marino was their last legit qb. When you have a guy who's within the top 10 it might get frustrating at times, but it's not something you throw away without strong options imo.

But it's been 7 year now. How much longer do you stick with a average QB that has not really done anything? What, 5, 6, 7 more years? There comes a time when you really need to change gears even if it means starting all over.

Stash brought up a good example with Hurts over Wentz and now look at them.

No doubt about that. I’ve said that same thing numerous times myself. But I’d rather keep looking for that guy rather than settling for one that’s not earning what he’s costing the team.

So you, as a proclaimed Cowboys fan, thought it necessary while in the middle of a 4 game winning streak with Rush at QB to post Daks stats anytime someone suggested Rush was playing well?

Do you see how one could think you're a bigger Dak fan than a Cowboys fan by doing something like that?

I’m looking at the return on investment for Dallas. I don’t think Dak is playing up to current and future costs.
That's not how it works. I mean, that would be cool, but market value for QBs is dumb. Did Prescott get a return for playing at a high level on his rookie contract?
Nope. That would also be dumb.
The team is vastly better with Dak. When will fans accept that it's a team sport?

One of the many times he should have been fired. Three back to back 8-8 seasons with a win and you’re in situation and not making the playoffs, the Arizona kicker debacle etc. Dak and Zeke saved his life in 2016.

You’re free to disagree with me. But don’t try to tell me “how it works”.

Philadelphia gave up more and paid Wentz earlier. When they realized it wasn’t working out? They moved on.

That’s “working” out just fine.

Geno Smith may make more than Dak this offseason lol. Yeah I said it.

And that is fair. I know what I would do too. I would be making a play for Drake Maye. Start trading pieces for picks and tank next season. If Dak and the team crap the bed this year its time to start looking at other options. And Maye is THE option IMO.
Finally seeing the light my bro
