Dak has to be better than he has been this year from a decision making perspective. My hope for this season was getting Tyron on the field and moving McGovern to the bench would give us a dominant OL and make everything on Offense run smoother. Now that it seems we will be stuck with McGovern for at least the rest of the year because I don't see Peters all of a sudden being able to play a full game week after week, we are going to need Dak to make plays but also eliminate the turnovers. He has done it in the past so we know he can do it, but he still has way too many poor decisions this year. It isn't just the interceptions, it's the 5 or so bad decisions each week that are costing us. Even the late throw to Schultz to set us up for the win was probably not a great decision with so much time left on the clock and us already in FG range. We also need to take some deep shots to open the shorter routes up because when we face teams that can get pressure on the QB with just 4 guys and drop everyone else it has killed us in the past and both Philly and SF can do that.

Absolutely and totally agree on decision making.
It's as simple as stopping the All 22 tape and looking at the variety of options of open receivers instead of the one that was actually chosen and the flawed logic/reasoning in making the errant pass.

The newest spin is to either turn it into an incorrect route being run by the receiver or the route concept design was in error by the OC.

But then you look at the tape and see multiple options that could/should have been taken and are left asking "why did he throw that ball in the first place?"

Decision making and processing speed are terribly lacking at the QB position.
Lack of consistent accuracy is a given as well.

Again, great post.

I’m here like a normal COWBOY fan, for the many varied topics. It’s not the Dak Prescott Fan Forum, it’s the Dallas Cowboy fan forum. Why don’t YOU go color some Dak coloring books?

lol...weak!

Poor Dak getting blamed for INTs that are mostly not his fault. Yes, he throws a legit INT on occasion but most of the time there are other reasons he gets picked off. The arm getting hit, the receiver running the wrong route, or the ball deflecting off his receiver and into the hands of the enemy. But the media doesn't care, they just love to hate on Dak.

I think he’d have to take it any way the team decided. He could try to demand a trade and good luck with that.

Dak can easily fix this himself. Prove to everybody that he is elite like he and others think.
Beat good teams consistently and win playoff games.
It’s really that simple
And he is in the spotlight...good. Put up or shut up.

Trevor Lawrence is under scrutiny as well. He's had a long honeymoon period and if he outplays Dak it would confirm this streak of good play he's been on

I’m not really sure why some fans are so drawn to listening to the national mediots on the Cowboys?

Jags are playing well now. 3 straight wins . They are a concern .

Hopefully last weeks squeaker will wake us up and not be looking ahead to next weeks game .

If we lose Sunday then Egirls game has no meaning.

Spotlight is on him.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have been getting this much scrutiny from the sports media ---- particularly from these three shows --- since the NFL training camps started back in mid-July.
This football team we follow is pretty much a weekly topic for ALL media outlets that cover the league in a significant manner.
Every year.

Dak is a good QB. becoming elite, I'm not counting on that. In my view only a very small handful of players in this league would I consider elite and not just QB. I think Dak is more than capable of helping this team including post season.

while I would agree that every QB gets a bad break against them every so often (Dak included), your statement is a huge stretch.

Furthermore, I can't honestly think of another QB who's had more giftwrapped INT's dropped than dak over the past several years. There have been a ton of times he's served one up on a silver platter only to have it dropped by the defender.

It's one thing to defend the guy, if you like him have at it, I love vigorous debate.
but to make a blanket statement that only a small minority of his picks are on him?

This is why the term "Dak Davidian" exists. This guy is borderline infallible to a sizeable segment of our fanbase.
Why not make him the halftime show for Thanksgiving next year? Put a big above ground pool at midfield over the Star, Dak can walk across the top of the water, then turn the whole thing into wine.
Good grief.
