Dak has got to evolve if we want to beat Eagles

Dak is 7-3 against the Eagles for his career.

Why would we want him to "evolve"? I want Dak and the Cowboys to go neanderthal on the Eagles.
to be fair, 2-3 of those wins were against the eagles backups at the end of the year, oh and the eagles were tanking in 2020 big time.

The only difference in our pass O from last year is a much worse WR room. Outside of Lamb we don’t have anyone that is consistently separating.

Dak is fine, he just needs help. My one big knock is I would like to see him throw the ball away a little more when he has to.

I'm not concerned with the Eagles. Cowboys and Dak have beaten every version of them they've put forth. Real fans know it. I'm not guaranteeing it will happen again but Dak is good enough to beat them.
If he throws multiple picks against Philly, we lose. Honestly, if he does it against Jax I doubt we win.

I could name so many that stuck around for years and never evolved into anything more than a backup,we have one on our team btw, Cooper rush,I'm sure Cooper studies every day,and he'll never evolve to more than he is.. sorry to say but Dak is gonna be 30 next year, and I repeat,he's volved out...he is what he's always gonna be , consistently inconsistent.

I'm not saying he will or won't. There are also plenty of examples of QB's working on their game even into their thirties. Just because you've been in seven seasons doesn't lock you in to being set in your ways. Granted, most of those changes are mental and required as the player loses some of their physical ability due to aging and injuries.

To be fair, Dak never played the Eagles in 2020, he was hurt that season. Also, Dak played against Eagles backup late in the season only once.

Furthermore, the Eagles have never beaten Dak when the Cowboys had a winning record except once, and that was a game #16 where the Cowboys had already clinched so Dak only played in the first two drives of that game.

He has got to realize it’s a team game and it’s not all on him. It’s almost as he is forcing balls to rack up stats. Zeke is as good as I have seen him in years and pollard is a star. Lean on the run game and let them carry us. We don’t need all these force throws to win. We need him to stop turning the ball over and let the team rally around him. Oh and Kellen Moore needs to stop pulling the fullback in short yardage.
It’s been 7 years, bruh. You know what a player is generally after year 3. Dak is who he is; it comes down to the OC being smart and focusing more on the running game and getting the ball in your playmaker’s hands. Dak should not be throwing the ball more than 30 times.

Dak is super cerebral and just overall smart as hell. Sure, he cannot read a defense for ****. Audibles into poor plays all the time and ahhh yea, continually throws pics game after game. Super smart dude

I wish all the Dak haters would understand this. They need to review the All 22 game film before they spew their poison in here.

Dak also needs to create a better right tackle than Ball so his arm doesn't get hit throwing that curl to Schultz which would have been good for a first down but the defender slapping him right on the biceps inexplicably caused the throw to come up short. I can't for the life of me figure out why.. Fortunately once they put Peters in there all that noise got shut down. Can't wait to see this line with Tyron and Peters at the tackle spots.. Mah goodness!!!

Ronnie, ive given you a 'like' for the post as it's factually correct. However, that comment smacks of the exact argument from Dak Hater's, that Dak needs everything around him to perform.
I'll give him a mulligan for that performance as the hill i'm attacking is "Kellen, why arent we running??"....dont throw the whole running game away because it failed on 7 for 12 yards on the Texans goal line, process why it's failing (may well be the Ball factor, or even basic play design he called).

@cnuball21 What does ALL 22 say about our separation? Im a pass off the run game guy that says we need the run, prevent cover-2 scenario's and create gap's/separation later on.

I can tell ya what the stats says.

We miss you Amari!!!

We were wrong about you and Schultz'kowski

Run Dak Run

The only regular scoring from the Air is coming from Brett Maher!!!

We chose the wrong Jalen in the DRAFT!!

That's what the stats say

It's funny when Dak played very conservatively like Rush in the beginning of his career All people did was bash him because he didn't have 300 yd passing games.

Well unfortunately football fans to have 300 yd passing games You have to have a lot of attempts and there's risk involved.

DAk has worked on his craft every year and become a much better passer than when he came into the league he has evolved into what everyone cried for.

Those picks Dak threw against the Texans involved some circumstances out of his control One was tipped and the other his arm was hit and made it come up short these were not the unexplainable Romo type of interceptions also they weren't thrown at a time where it was impossible to overcome as we saw.

All that said I love the old Dak That would tuck the ball away more and take off for some safe yards.

But make no mistake Dak has evolved into what everybody screamed for so under certain circumstances you're going to have to take the bitter with the sweet and he gave us both in the Texans game so just be thankful he marched us down the field and we won the game in the end

Dak will not be the reason Dallas beats the Eagles, if they beat the eagles. If our d doesn't play better than the last game against them, it's not going to matter what Dak does.

Its funny how Cooper already has 7 tds in Cleveland through 13 games. Prolly cuz he's not limited to just a comeback route

And both Schultz and Wilson's scoring stats are way down and Gallop has faded down to Noah brown level.

I'd take obj for 1 playoff game for 10 million. Heck make it 20 million

Fix the injury that was self inflicted.

How can ya put 11 batted balls on Dak.. Nobody can thread the needle 25 passes a game when there's no element of Surprise or separation to your strategy

Whoever voted Cooper, AJ Brown, and Davotae Adams off their team trying to save money lost a BET!!!

The everybody else is just gonna elevate their game up one notch around Lamb theory has been debunked once again!!!

That's just like taking you're fastest runner out the relay race and saying everybody else is just gonna get faster.

I tried to explain the arithmetic a hundred times and was even chastised. Lmao

Cowherd put up some interesting stats of late. While I'm reticent to read too much into it, the numbers do seem to indicate that less of Prescott is more and he still has some ground to make up on where he finished last year in QBR (11th at 60.5). The first game against Tampa obviously hurts him but with eight games under his belt [6-2] you would hope he'd be higher up the pole by now. Back out that game and he's probably around where he finished last year...which would put him 7th in QBR (just over Burrow).

Prescott...34 or less attempts.....44 - 13 [currently 19th in QBR at 52.4]
Prescott...35 or more attempts...16 - 24

Mahomes...35 or more attempts...43 - 15 [current nfl leader in QBR at 77.9]

All this is to say that Prescott isn't quite at his best yet. Hopefully that is still to come.

CeeDee is a good #1 & Cooper is a good #1.

All our other guys are 3rd, 4th and 5th receiving options who were elevated by having two #1 wrs

Gallop, Schultz, Brown, and Wilson. None of these guys are above a 3rd wr on paper
