Correct. And Cowboys are 26-4 when Elliott rushes for 100 + yards.

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/cowboys-record-when-zeke-has-100-rushing-yards

This list all of the 30 games . And results. The quote you responded to is totally false.
this maybe true, but I wonder what the win/loss stats are for other QBs when their RB rushed for over a 100. I bet its very similar. usually when your team rushes well, your offense is doing well. you are controlling the ball, you get lots of chances for play action (because run game is working) and you end up winning.

to actually compare we also should have win/loss stats for when zeke didn't rush for 100. and then similarly for other QBs. given no stat is meaningfull in a vaccum

In 2021 we were 2-0 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards. We were 10-5 when he didn’t. Dak missed one of the wins.

In 2020 we were 2-0 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards. 4-10 when he didn’t . Note Dak was out 11 games. We were 2-3 with Dak starting .

in 2019 we were 6-1 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards. 2-7 when he didn’t.

In 2018 we were 6-1 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards. 5-4 when he didn’t.

In 2017 we were 4-1 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards . 5-6 when he didn’t. Note he was suspended for 6 games.

In 2016 we were 6-1 when Elliott rushed for 100 yards. We were 7-2 when he didn’t.

Cowboys are 33 - 30 when Elliott doesn’t rush for 100 yards which includes the 11 games Dak was out in 2020 (which we went 4-10) and 6 games Elliott was suspended in 2017. We are 26-4 when he rushes for 100 yards.

great breakdown. I had asked for this stat in my other response.

I think looking at stats in a vaccum is meaningless. what about the rest of the QBs in the league. I am sure Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes will look different. those guys are Elite of the Elite. but where does this rank compared to everybody else.

and I bet even if we did that excercise and compared, Haters response will be, he got the wins against weak NFC east teams. you want to bet? :)

Just so we are clear Dallas lost out on 0 players because of Dak's contract.

Separating with Dak is the only reason would have a handcuffed NFL cap year. Anything else and they can add void years to reduce cap hit to very manageable.
And exactly as all the whiners were told his contract gets cheaper every day versus other franchise QBs.

Stats are often just a tool to support an agenda or how one views and spin it.

I’d venture to say most QB’s have a better record when their RB rushes for a 100 yards.

But comparing Prescott to those you mentioned here isn’t realistic. Most Cowboy fans don’t see him in the same light as the most Elite.

Dak is not in the same light as those elites. I never meant for it to come across as that. my point was those guys are special, so they are more outliers than anything else. but rest of the QBs that are not elite probably will have similar stats. both with their RBs rushing for 100 and not rushing for 100. its a guess, but not sure if the data can be pulled easily

One point worth noting is the 26-4 record highlights why opposing teams are so focused on stopping or minimizing Elliott. We are definitely not as successful or effective.

exactly, but its a talking point on the Dak haters group. that has been debunked.

again, I don't mean this as a defense of Dak's play, but just that the contract is not a show stopper.

also, just read an article that Wagner wants a one year 11M deal. then if why not for us to sign him for one year. would he settle for a one year 10M deal? its Jerry and Stephen. I don't think either of them think we can win the superbowl this year, thus they are not investing. their actions speak louder than words.

Jerry and the Cowboys are the ones that agreed to pay him. If it was a bad deal that's on them

Not really. Yes at one point that was true but now it is more a misnomer and representation of our OL play.
When our OL is bullying the other team we win.
When it is not, the game is much tougher to win.

Any team in the league would prefer a balanced offense with strong OL. KC and GB are in the same boat as Dallas.
Those teams have a back rush for 100 and they win.

No doubt that a strong rushing game enhances offenses and QB effectiveness and success.

But I’m not sure these QB’s in GB and KC have this impressive stat. If they do I’d like to see it.

I have finally figured out the hate for Dak. It's not about the money, although the terrible tearful claim that is the case. Dallas has lost players to free agency since it was created.

This phenomenon of the longest cryfest using Dak as the focal point comes from Romo fans who have never gotten past Dak replacing him.

I would have loved to see Romo come in and take the reins from the Eagles game through the play-offs. Although teams playing Dallas would have been head hunting Romo because he had become Mr. Glass.

Than transition belongs to Jerry Jones and his son. So does the contract that is blamed for the people exiting the club now.

But this harangue by so many fans, and the continuing tantrum over money is illogical since Dallas watched players like Ken Norton and others leave after Emmitt got paid the most for a RB in the league.

I have been a fan of this team since the first year. I can deal with the drought, because it will eventually turn around.

But this vitriol from fans in every thread whining like little girls with skinned knees just takes the fun out of this.

Dallas is the home of the worst fans in the game now.
There's also another underlying factor that can't be discussed on this board. Which ignorantly leads *some Dak haters in this thread to continuously spread the narrative that he is "dumb" and "not smart enough to play in today's league"... all the while he has a Masters degree in Leadership, and will be pursuing a PhD in Psychology lol

But... If I say anymore on the subject this thread will be locked.

Dak has not ruined the Cowboys.

At the end of the day I don’t know if re-signing him will prove to have been the smart move or not. We will have to see how it plays out.

season one of the new deal didn’t end well and Dak played poorly down the stretch.

all that being said. Any notion that the He ruined the cowboys is beyond foolish. This franchise is exactly the same as it was under Romo and no better than it has been ever since The 90’s team fell apart due to age/salary cap.

Maybe moving on from Dak is the right answer.

perhaps the only chance the cowboys have of being a great team ever again, is for them to get incredibly lucky and land a once in a generation player like Rodgers or Brady or Mahomes. A QB that is so transcendent he can carry the entire franchise despite having an incompetent front office.

Of course, you would also have to trust the jones to find and draft that guy……. Color me skeptical on that one.

no, I have always argued that you can't look at any QBs stat in a vaccum (as a matter of fact almost any players stat is meaningless compared to themselves). when compared and ranked to other QBs, then you get a better picture. so its not protecting, its asking a legitimate question. if it goes against just saying yes to Dak haters, so be it. the record is 26-4 when the RB rushes for 100 yards. so what is it for other QBs....is it more? less? similar?

lets say a QB throws for 28 TDs. is that good? bad? or similar to other QBs? back 20 years ago, it might have been a lot (in fact made you top 5). but in todays NFL, that's about average. its all relative and in a vaccum its meaningless.

I happen to agree with you...just had a tiff with a guy about it. I told him "don;t get stuck on stats". He doesn't get it.

Its not Daks salary that is the issue. Its his playing ability. We cant win a SB with him, even if he plays for free.

Me too. He was the reason I was rooting for the Rams to win. Otherwise I love the underdog story the Bengals were. But Stafford, what he went through with his wife, not to mention people mocking him because of being on Detroit. The guy had an up and down year. Mostly upside. He even had an up and down SB, but came through at the end. I can't remember the last time I was happy for a player.

actually i was rooting for Bengals too....not only underdog but my grandson likes Bengals...i just got him interested in NFL...when he comes over we watch hours of utube highlights like...greatest catches

or gnarliest tackles etc....he loves the Bills # 1 but loves Bengals # 2....this years playoffs was one of the best i have ever seen....so many games decided by walk off FG's or TD's in overtime.....and dang it

we belonged way past wild card....but i watched extensive film on Dak after he hurt his calf....never the same player....prior to the gnarly ankle injury last year by the Giants...Dak was on total fire....yes

with stupid Nolan as DC we had worst defense but Dak was throwing dimes on a rope....but if you watch every game especially against Denver ( if you have gamepass? )....notice Dak cannot plant

back right foot....its his calf...so he overcompensates using primarily upper body in his throws...we should have beat Denver....so many passes by Dak way off the mark to open receivers for big gain

I don't have game pass, but I can still watch the whole game. I'll look for that.

If we had met Dak walk and Rush played…..we probably be the ones signing Russell Wilson.

man look out for those Broncos this year...not only Wilson but Gregory and a bunch of other players too.....for us to be in real contention it will again be up to ( forget name....my memory is great ...just that...its short)

the black guy who scouts for the Draft?.....somehow someway we got to bring in a "haul" of players that we can plug and play....Stephen Jones did us no favors this off season and we got the money

the latest reporting from Mike Fisher at the Star......Stephen Jones said we were too late signing Bobby Wagner but he is still on the Market...he only wants 11 mil for one year compared to the 18 he was getting

prior years......so so so so ticked off at Stephen Jones and his chisseling ways....he does not want to win super bowl he wants to win the "Cap" bowl.....we gotta get better O lineman....the center cannot

be our starting center anymore and we desperately need solid LG and swing tackle...then a couple of receivers ( this draft many good receivers ) i believe in every round.....dang we a team serious for super bowl run last year
