The trajectory of his career and image is heading in the same place as Romo’s - the butt of jokes for the rest of the NFL.

What a huge feather in Quinn's cap! Jerry better stick with acting, because he sucks bigtime as a so-called GM in the NFL.

Dak has turned into the butt of jokes just like Romo
For one very simple reason.

Why are people acting dumbfounded that Dak is getting these comparisons? He’s the highest paid player in the league. If Herbert or Carr were the highest paid and had laid playoff egg after playoff egg they would be getting the comparison.

I bet these mocking memes are creating by Romo-loving Dak haters. Bunch of backstabbing traitor fake fans. They will cry, complain even louder and make more memes at the end of 2025 when Dak surpasses Romo as the Cowboys franchise passing leader IN LESS GAMES THAN ROMO.

Except that Tony turned it around late in his career. Everybody learned he was not the problem and in fact had the most comebacks and highest clutch rating in the league at the time of his retirement.

Every time I hear his name mentioned by people like Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd they comment that he was a very good QB. Not elite but very good and certainly good enough with the defenses Eli had.
No, Romo didn't turn anything around late in his career. If he did then the Cowboys would have something to show for it. Romo, like Dak, squandered many chances by consistently coming up small when it mattered most. That's his legacy. There will be no rewriting of history.

Things did appear to start clicking for Romo near the end but injuries didn’t allow him to see it through. He might have still come up small again but there was a different confidence(aura) there. It doesn’t matter now though, he will go down as a decent QB just like Dak with little to no help from our inept GM.

Romo had no concept of risk versus reward.
Still can never understand running in a preseason game after back surgery.
That one poor decision although overlooked by most was the worst out of many because he lost his job to DAk and never got it back in a year where he had as good a chance to go to a Super bowl as any
