Dak has signed his mega deal and has now been paid, or will be paid $160M over 4 years. He now has financial security.

Let’s say that Dak was now willing to extend his contract for one year at a total additional cost of $30M but all of his contract is now guaranteed (So he will now be guaranteed to receive all of his $160m plus $30m) and the Cowboys could restructure the last 3 years however they chose. Dak would retain his no-trade clause and no tag clause.

Would any of the people who would like to see Dak “go” have a different view of Dak or the QB situation. Now suppose the same but at $25 M for the last year. (That’s Tom Brady territory).

Hypothetical he will improve reading defenses and seeing open receivers and stop throwing INT's?
That should answer the question.

He is not horrible by any means, but he is not elite either.
He once again, said those INT's will not happen. I can't believe him. He has said that every week since mid season.

Then to say it after the SF loss. Tells me he doesn't care. I will not believe it until it actual happens...or does not happen (INT's).

I bet not a single one of you Dak detractors felt the same way about getting rid of Romo? Am I right? Be honest. And that's because Romo started 10 full seasons with more seasons full of more interceptions than what Dak had this 2022 season.

I’d be all for it as it creates a ton of flexibility for the cowboys roster construction. Dak himself isn’t the problem. Dak the contract is a major problem for this team. Dak + another piece or two on offense + this defense was a legit Super Bowl contender. This type of deal last offseason could have been the difference in retaining a player like Amari Cooper, or at least going after a stronger free agent than James Washington.

You like to dish it, but you can't take it. Typical. Been this way since the old boards.
LMAO casper, or is it Cowboysbragger. It's sad you can't even admit that dak sucks and is the reason we lost. Maybe the receivers should have jumped over the defender's back to catch those tight-window throws. dak prescott lmao, the biggest joke in team history

Stop deflecting by bringing in Romo's name.

The heat is on Prescott and rightly so. He was the reason Dallas lost to SF.

Prescott will be restructured and will be the QB for at least the next two years. Dallas should start the process for his replacement beginning with this draft.

By the time Dallas finds the next QB, Prescott should be one foot out the door.

They can add dummy years (voidable) if reducing the cap hit is your goal. Reducing to 30M is only a 10M saving over his current 40M AAV.

They could pay a top WR like Devonte Adam's for about 1/3rd of a season with 10M.

If he fails in both year eight and nine, with all else equal, I would suppose he would be up for signing at a discount to keep his endorsements as a Cowboy in tact….

But then again, at that point, can you really bring him back, and do these national brands he reps want to be associated with a perennial loser?

The FO knew he was worth 30m a year and not 40. I’ll give them that, but they blew the negotiations with their mouths and refusal to line up plan B.

They aren’t qualified and don’t help matters by getting close to the players.

Ok, you think Prescott sucks but what if we added an extra year to his contract and guaranteed everything?

i just want him to stop throwing into double coverage.
and for our o.c.,whoever it will be,to lean into the run game more instead of throwin' it all over the yard.
