Dak in perspective

Better - Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Stafford, Ryan, Big Ben, Carr, Luck, Rivers, Romo, Wilson, Cousins.

Similar - Dalton, Flacco, Palmer (maybe, I haven't really watched him much this year to see what his issue is), Newton, Mariota, Smith, Manning (50/50 - not sure he can help himself).

Dak is 5-0 versus those "better" QB's and has played well enough to keep another one on our bench.

Flacco would do as well in the Dallas system as Prescott?

Your entire post lost credibility just on that note.

With the talent on the team this year? I think so. Pretty close to it anyway. Maybe we shoyld ask PFF since they are the epitome of credibility.

I guess the ENTIRE point of everything I said was over your head. You just used the weakest argument possible.

The title of this thread is ironic considering it seems the only perspective that is allowed is that Dak is amazeballs and this is the best rookie performance there is, was, and ever will be.

Nobody wants to consider other perspectives.

Name me one team that doesn't have help?
New England 4 Pro Bowlers
Dallas 5 Pro Bowlers
Green Bay 3 Pro Bowlers, but there should have been another with Jordy Nelson
Raiders 7 Pro Bowlers
Steelers 4 Pro Bowlers
You win with talent unless you're a cheating franchise like New England.
So Dak having talent on his team does not diminish his superior accomplishments this year.
Yep those 90's teams had talent galore. It doesn't diminish how great Aikman, Emmitt and Michael were though. They were winners.

Hey...

Hope you enjoy the rest of Dak Prescott's tenure in Dallas.

Hopefully it's at least 10 years.

Then maybe you'll be "AdultsPlay".

I hope he ends up as the best QB in history.

Hopefully by that point some people will be willing to be objective and mature in their analysis.

I wonder why so many vets appear so impressed with what he's done as a rookie if he hasn't contributed all that much to the best record in the NFL. What do they know?

What he has done is very impressive for a rookie.

How anyone can be anything but completely thrilled with what Dak has done thus far is mind boggling. .02

I challenge you to find a quote from someone saying they aren't happy with how well he has done.

You won't find that but there's plenty of Romo FANS out there that wish he was the one having the success. They feel he's paid his dues and deserves a championship. They'll tell you that Dak has his entire career ahead of him and that time is running out for Romo and he deserves this more than Dak. It's become a Dak vs Romo for many on this board. Some don't like Dak's game of safe, high percentage throws despite how successful it's been, they want more big plays down the field. They feel he's a dink and dunk game manager and that we would be even better with Romo at QB. If the Cowboys win the SB, they'll believe they could have won it with Romo.

There's some that believe Romo never had as good a team as this and believe Dak is just going along for the ride. It's not that some don't like Dak but they feel sorry for Romo and would rather see the Cowboys win the SB with him even if it means losing, than to win a championship with Dak. A SB win with Dak is going to be bittersweet for many. It sounds crazy but there's some on this board that are bigger FANS of Romo than they are of the team. There's a few Romo FANS that I haven't seen post since Romo went down in preseason.

Wrong. That's just what you tell yourselves they believe.

This is an outstanding regular season by a QB who checks all the boxes except the one labeled "experience against elite defenses."

Enjoy the ride and stay tuned.
