its actually really cool that football is a team sport, and alot more goes into winning than just QB. Kirk Cousins on the Brady Patriots, and he's also going to the HOF. Troy Aikman's stats on the Browns and absolutely nobody, especially Canton, OH remembers his name. Terry Bradshaw playing for the Saints and we dont remember him either. Mahomes playing for the Jets, or any overall bad organization, and he doesn't have a great defense during his super bowls, and he certainly doesn't have 45 seconds to hold the ball, superfluous scramble, superfluous cartwheel to throw to a wide open HOF TE. Football is funny like that.

Now show me his record against winning records... 18-24 before this season. But then it becomes "team sport".
this is my favorite "Gotcha" QB stat like there is a long list of QB's with great records against winning teams..hope you like Jimmy G thats your dude for this stat, the other retired after losing to the Cowboys in the playoffs last year...

I remember that. Dak made Brady retire. Poor Brady, if only he did not have to play against Dak he could still be in the NFL.

Just responding to his stat with my hand picked stat, right ? That not allowed ? Deeper looks into stats should be welcomed and encouraged here !

He's been pretty damn good outside of 2 games (AZ and SF).

1. Josh Allen
2. Purdy
3. Mahomes
4. Dak
5. Herbert
6. Tua
7. Hurts
8. Minshew
9. Goff
10. Cousins
.........
31. Zach Wilson (former #2 overall pick)
32. Bryce Young (#1 overall pick)

Don't worry, you'll get an answer to that. Before the seasons over, I'm sure some of you never learn.

Did you have a stroke mid-sentence? Were you trying to make some sort of a cogent point?

AC, for some reason Cowboys fans don’t like Dak. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because I just listened to Cowturd send a love letter to Herbert and Stafford about an hour ago. Cowturd just does not like Dak and some of are fans think the same.

Dak is third best quarterback in Cowboys history.
I think for some they'll never get over disliking Dak because he replaced Romo. For others, and I will loosely throw my name in here so I'm not flip flopping, but it's a lot more around not paying QBs record setting money unless they are truly elite. Nothing against the guy at all, hes a fine QB, especially in 2023, but I don't get how teams continue to pay massive amounts of cash to QBs. Even Mahomes who is the one guy I would have written a blank check to is starting to look human. Daniel jones has probably set the Giants back a couple years now. Kyler Murray looks like a terrible deal. Russell Wilson's deal (and trade) and crippled the Broncos. They're still a really good team but the Bills are looking more mediocre now that Josh Allens cap hits are starting to add up, and I think the Bengals may start to look more middle of the pack as Burrow's new deal starts to have some effects on Higgens and possibly even Chase? Most QBs are going to struggle without the appropriate weapons around them, and most QBs in this league can thrive in a loaded offense.

Thats why you can throw all those ratings out of the window.

Those are simplifications to entertain the uneducated mind.
I might challenge your assessment here.

All players from Mahomes to the last player on the worst team's practice squad have shortcomings. It is the coaching staff who are tasked with putting the player in his best light, and protecting him from being in a position to fail because of these issues. Obviously there are some players who do not have the skill set to rise to the level of excellence. But that is not the case here.

This team's success starts and ends at the offensive line. No running lanes, and no pass protection in a consistent basis is why you see losses like the one this past Sunday.

I am not a stats guy, per se. I somewhat agree with your comment because I think stats can make Charles Manson look like Mother Teresa. But there is an aspect of the yardage Dak throws for and its concordance over time which indicates, with protection and a competent core of players at the skill positions, he can deliver.

If for no other reason, his rookie year indicates when you put the right guys around him, and give him protection, he can drive the ship.

He does this every year when he will put a couple MVP games together then go on a mediocre streak. Just hoping it continues for once

There are two flaws I see in this.

One is market value. I own my own home. What I paid for it 18 years ago and what I can get for it today is shocking. It has almost quadrupled in value. Market value and what people will pay is why these guys get the bid bucks. I'm certain you understand that.

The second part is this. When people argue about the money these guys make, there is an ancillary part of this which is, "If they didn't give Dak so much money, the team could go out and get some better players."

This franchise does not shop at Tiffany's, if they shop at all. They shop at the Dollar Store, and try to haggle at that. There will be no boon of stud players come to Dallas because they pay their QB 2 million a yard.

But you might see a now wing built onto the yacht Jerry owns.

The money doesn't matter because the league has gone this way with the approval of the owners.

Im pretty sure Brady never took the field against Dak as they both played offense but if your a "Whats the QB's record against winning teams" guy you got Brady who in fact retired after losing to the Cowboys and Jimmy G with Pat Mahomes following behind...facts are fun.

Not to worry, the Cowboys will crush the juggernaut Giants this weekend, Dak will throw for 350 yards and 4 TDs and all will be well.

I'm just parroting what some of you Dak fans have said, Dak made Brady retire, you've read it so don't deflect. Not saying you have said it, but it has been said.

Beat an aging team with a 45 year old QB that should have stayed retired. Post us when he beats someone like Philly, KC, Bengals, Jags, etc, etc.

Try again please.

Drafting and QB and staying with Dak will net the same results. No big wins and no playoff success. If you happy with some regular season success, then keep Dak around.
drafting who? so far the past two years haven't netted any Mahomes or Burrows. just good QBs. take your pick.

don't forget this is Dallas, there is a Jerry jones in charge which is a -10 on the scale regardless of who plays here.
