Not a fan of Dak in the slightest but some of these people worshipping Jayden Daniels are some of the silliest posts I’ve ever seen!! Jayden Daniels is the new flavor of the month and he isn’t that impressive. Once teams and tape catch up to him, he’s going to regress. I love myself some Kirk Cousins and Josh Allen, but Jayden Daniels? Commanders might make the playoffs and maybe even will have a two year run for the post season, but besides that? Please. Lets go Cowboys!!
So your argument is that the highest paid player in league history is better than a guy who has played 1/4 of a season? I would sure as hell hope he is better. I'm not sure if I could have either one I would pick Dak before the kid

Huh? So if I say player a played better than player b on a certain day that means I’m comparing the players lol? I guess man lol. I don’t know where you guys were at 2 years ago but Hurts was balling.
No more than Prescott was

No way can you add Quincy Carter to that list. Are you serious? He only passed for 1072 yards with 5 TDs and 7 INT’s his rookie year. You better go back and take a closer look. Lol He only had about 1400 yards passing his second year with 7 TDs and 8 INT’s. He played better his third season when Parcells arrived, but he still wasn’t that good. Once again he had more INT’s than TDs. That ended up being his last season with the Cowboys. I’m talking about QBs that looked terrific as rookies then ended up flaming out.
I thought you were asking how many quarterbacks only played one season. My bad. you wanted one year wonders, they only played one year, not that were just great for one year. Then out of the league.

Quincy Carter played three seasons with the Cowboys and started three games for the Jets.
That’s why I said I don’t remember , I was fighting with the cat listening to jazz Miles Davis, and missed the whole conversation lol don’t mind me. But to answer your question, Mark Sanchez

Again you being a Dak homer I fully expect you to put the blame on anyone but Dak. And even though you wont admit it you know Dak has had teams good enough over his 8 years to go deep into the playoffs but they didnt go there because he couldn't take them there. So No Dak is not good enough to take the team to the championship or he would have, so that's like a really silly statement and you're reaching now.

I could care less what some QB could or couldn't do 35 years ago with their team. I only care about what Dak can do with his, and he has proven over and over his ceiling ends when the regular season ends. So obvious you are happy with the Cowboys ceiling of being regular season champions and bombing in the playoffs then he is your guy. My ceiling for the team just happens to be higher

And getting rid of good QBs happen just about every season. Look at all of the record trades for QB. Tampa was very happy to take the GOAT in Brady and win a Super Bowl with him.

And yes you can very easily move from a very good QB to someone else. Tampa was very happy to take the GOAT in Brady and win a Super Bowl with him.
You remember Byron Jones. He didn’t get deep enough, and Aaron Rodgers completed. The pass kicked the field goal won the game. How was that Prescott‘s fault. We didn’t have the ball last. Ezekiel Elliott against the Rams we couldn’t stop the run, fumbled on the one yard line, oh did you forget that too? I could go on but you won’t like it. Brady lol did you forget he had a great defense and Gronkowski. And a running game. But that doesn’t fit in narrative does it?

I'm pretty sure Washington wouldn't trade Daniels for Dak. Daniels looks like the real deal so far.

Single plays dont define how good a QB may or may not be. If it worked that way then we could easily say Dak is the dumbest QB is the league with his QB run against SF to end the game. It comes down to how good the QB can control the entire game. How Dak controls the offense sets the tone for the defense. 3 and out over and over and any D is going to be toast.

The majority of this board is always talking about the weakness in Dak because it's so obvious. Yes he can control the game extremely well when he is playing below average teams because he can get comfortable, his first read is always open and we are making first downs etc but where he suffers is when we play good teams and those first reads are not always there and he struggles trying to find his second or third read. He shuts down.

It's very simple, you can turn the game on mid game and all you have to do is watch Dak for 2-3 plays, you dont even need to look at the score to know how the game is going. If Dak does not have happy feet then you know he feels in control of the game and its going good but the minute you see him get rattled and he starts with the happy feet he struggles greatly because his eyes/mind are not in agreement with his body/arm with what he is seeing on the field. He gets frustrated and whines which in turn easily rubs off on the other players such as CeeDee who does the same thing etc.

It's not that I'm rooting against Dak, it's just I know his limitations. I was all for him his first couple years, I didnt agree with him getting a second contract but I was ok with Dallas giving him one more chance but to give him his third contract was 100% stupid to do.

So anyone that thinks Dak is going to win you a championship is as foolish sounding as the people thinking the same thing about Romo and how did that turn out.

They were both good QB's but neither one was taking their teams to the promise land.

I've never said Dak isnt good, he is a very good QB and if he is good enough for you as a fan, congrats. But for me, he is not.
You claim he’s a very good QB, but he’s not good enough for you? lol You must think QBs like Brady, Mahomes and Peyton Manning grow on trees because that’s about what it’s going to get better than what we have. I would love to have a QB like those three in their prime, but I’m thankful for the QB we have because a lot of teams don’t have it as good as we have it at QB.

Jaden Daniels is a rookie. It's too soon to tell. He is more athletic than Dak and he has a better arm. Right now Washington's future at quarterback looks better than Dallas.

More like, RGIII was exposed as not being able to read the D at an NFL level.
It’s still early but Daniels appears to be more than RG3. Time will tell but it looks like he has the ability to possibly turn Wash around like Stroud has Houston.

I think they have finally found their QB. And with better coaching and new leadership in owners , sky is the limit.

Yes it is. It is very different. Hurts is still not on the level as a passer as Jayden.
I’ve seen all of his games . And he throws a pretty ball, accurate and pin point passing. He’s mobile but he can make it on his arm.

And Wash has had a pretty good defense and some talent , just no QB.

If they have finally found a QB, with their coaching and new ownership . Watch out.

While Carter did play 3 seasons for the Cowboys he only started one complete season 2003. In 2001 started 6 and 2002 started 7 games.

What a stupid thread lol. Jayden has played a couple of NFL games. Dak has played how many? And gotten nowhere.

I'd absolutely rather have Daniels on the team than Dak. Even if he's worse than Dak atm (which is absolutely normal). But the potential is much higher.

Dallas fans aren't going to be happy about this discussion so let's change it up.

I would take Daniels over Hurts or Jones. He is a better thrower of the football while having their athleticism. He is going to have his ups and downs as teams throw more at him but he seems to be a quick processor and a natural thrower, unlike either Hurts or Jones.
