Single plays dont define how good a QB may or may not be. If it worked that way then we could easily say Dak is the dumbest QB is the league with his QB run against SF to end the game. It comes down to how good the QB can control the entire game. How Dak controls the offense sets the tone for the defense. 3 and out over and over and any D is going to be toast.
The majority of this board is always talking about the weakness in Dak because it's so obvious. Yes he can control the game extremely well when he is playing below average teams because he can get comfortable, his first read is always open and we are making first downs etc but where he suffers is when we play good teams and those first reads are not always there and he struggles trying to find his second or third read. He shuts down.
It's very simple, you can turn the game on mid game and all you have to do is watch Dak for 2-3 plays, you dont even need to look at the score to know how the game is going. If Dak does not have happy feet then you know he feels in control of the game and its going good but the minute you see him get rattled and he starts with the happy feet he struggles greatly because his eyes/mind are not in agreement with his body/arm with what he is seeing on the field. He gets frustrated and whines which in turn easily rubs off on the other players such as CeeDee who does the same thing etc.
It's not that I'm rooting against Dak, it's just I know his limitations. I was all for him his first couple years, I didnt agree with him getting a second contract but I was ok with Dallas giving him one more chance but to give him his third contract was 100% stupid to do.
So anyone that thinks Dak is going to win you a championship is as foolish sounding as the people thinking the same thing about Romo and how did that turn out.
They were both good QB's but neither one was taking their teams to the promise land.
