The whole dink and dunk thing is amusing. Statistically Dak is anything but a guy who throws a lot of passes underneath or to the RBs. Even more amusing is Tom Brady won a gazillion super bowls dinking and dunking. The trolls know it’s factually incorrect but they keep pushing the narrative because hey if they say it enough maybe a few of the uninformed will actually believe it.

Can you say "Dink and Dunk" as beyond that things get dangerous for inepto # 4.
Did you know that in 2021 "Dink and DunK" Dak's yards per attempt was higher than, among others, Mahomes, Hebert & Brady. This year Mahomes is higher, but Dak is still higher than Hebert and Brady.

Of course you didn't know that. Facts aren't relevant if they don't fit the narrative.

You’re putting the bar a bit high…
Marino is the best passer of a ball I’ve seen, if he played today his stats would be crazy.
I’d he’d had the supporting cast that Montana had, he’d be in the conversation of being the best QB ever.
So you’re right he’s no Dan Marino, but that’s exactly a bad thing.
Imagine Marino with our 90’s teams.

I guess Troy wasn’t either
Out of college Troy Aikman was compared to Elway and Dan Marino. He was the no.1 rated QB, no.1 overall pick, and no.1 on everybody's draft board except Jerry Dumbo GM Jones who was in love with Tony Mandrich.

170 yards, 2 picks and the team still puts up 54 points.

He was as meaningless a player as any on the field last night.
Gotta disagree.

Admittedly Dak's 1st half was shaky, and it certainly wasn't one of his stronger games, but the impact on a game is more complex than that. Ultimately, just as the running game doesn't have to put up 150+ yards to have an impact, neither does the QB have to put up huge numbers to have an impact. Just as the mere threat of a running game can open up the pass, the mere threat of a passing game can open up the run. I would imagine, for example, that some of the big running lanes up the middle occurred because the Colts were trying to pressure the QB.

Additionally, 8 of Dak's passes were for 1st downs that kept drives alive, and 3 more were for TD's. It's hard to deny that those plays had an impact.

He's also the decision maker on the field. He can change plays, when he sees fit. Fans don't get to know what play was called and if and when plays are changed, but we do know the offense was efficient and productive, and that's not possible if the QB isn't making good choices.

Run the ball, run some more, than run again

Play action pass (preferably deep, no two yard passes off play action…)

/win

Dak is not Dan Marino…..run the ball, defense is fresh, toss some deep balls here and there

The way was shone tonight
No one cares if he's Moreno or Michael Vick, or Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, just give us enough on offense, enough to win a title. If he can do that, then let's go. If he can't, then we'll have to rely on Jerry Jones to do the right thing.

"Worst fan base in American history" Stephen A. Smith

While we do have some great fans here, but we also have some pathetic ones too. We just blown out a team who beat the Chiefs and should've beaten Philthy, and all these anti-Dak clowns can even enjoy this win. That should prove once and for all that they are either trolls, not real Cowboy fans, or BOTH. One of these pathetic clowns even wished death on Dak and got several "likes" by the other usual clowns.

You don't have to be an elite passer to be a successful quarterback. There is so much more to being a quarterback than having a strong arm and pinpoint accuracy. Tom Brady had neither.

Leadership, poise, intelligence, ability to motivate those around you, commitment, and winning are all desirable traits as well.

Living on a forum 24/7 and replying with negativity ad-nauseum also isn't the flex you think it is. I just don't get the blind, vitriolic hate you and several others have for Dak. I understand speaking truths when he plays poorly but I think he's a good dude and is the QB of my favorite team and so I'm going to root for him when he plays well and root for him to turn it around when he plays poorly. If he continuously plays poorly then I'll take that into account when his contract comes up. Not blast him like a teenage edgelord after the offense puts up well over 40 points and is averaging almost 40 points a game after his return.

I think I do. But I would get benched if I talked about it.

Some people who don't have a life often hate on others who do.

GREAT post, brother. ;)

This defense is elite only when the offense has a lead.
Having a lead late certainly helps the pass rushers pin back their ears, but that's hardly the only time the defense has been elite.

The defense held Cincinnati to 3 points and got 4 sacks in the first half, so it was pretty dominant from the start of the game.

It held the Giants to 3 points and got 3 sacks in the first half

The defense pretty well carried them the whole game in the wins against Washington & the Rams while Rush was the QB and the team wasn't scoring much.

The Cowboys defense dominated the Vikings from their first possession (forced a fumble and got the ball at the Vikings 27 yard line)

Played the Bengals early on the season with one of worse OL. The Giants have one of the worst WR corp for Danny Dimes to throw to, their leading WR is an often injured RB.
