Why does it always have to be a love/hate Dak thing? When we win everybody loves him, we lose everybody hates him. Follow the game thread and when he was stinking up the joint no lovers were to be found, they were hiding under their pillows. This guy was there praising, but also throwing him under the bus.

Dak was awful for almost the entire game, and in years past, this wild ending would not work in our favour. Does Dak get credit for the last-minute drive? For sure, but he's no hero, albeit not one objective Cowboys fan thought the last-second TD would happen. Hopefully, this changes this narrative, but the real hero is the guy who took in the biscuits but managed to break free for the TD.
I don’t participate in game threads except before the game starts and at halftime. Too busy watching the game. Those in the gay threads miss half the game because they’re too busy yapping.

99 percent of qbs will go after that fumble without even thinking. I'm glad Dak did and would not expect anything different from him.

So, should he not have recover the fumble?
We’re now giving credit for something he should be doing anyway.?
He was in the best position to recover the fumble. And he did. Good for him. Good for the cowboys.

By the way, I created this thread with the title, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

For some reason, the mods changed it. No explanation so couldn’t tell you why.

I think it’s called “ plagiarism “

We are not talking enough about Dowdle's fumble. Had Dak not recovered that the game would have ended in a loss for Dallas. Dowdle was more careless with the football running into a crowd than Dak was when he was strip sacked.

When Luepke fumbled in the Miami game last year down at the 1 yards line he never got another hand off for the rest of the season. I am all for second chances but Dowdle needs to tuck that ball in and push across the goal line or go down. He cannot fumble that ball like that down there.
If Dowdle had just cut to the right he could have followed Luepke's block for a walk-in TD

Anyone who likes to discredit Dak for his bad play (which is sometimes correct) is one thing. But to say he isnt a leader is another.

Him landing on that fumble last night and sacrificing his body is something that QBs dont usually do. Cam Newton didnt do it in the freaking SB and his career never recovered.

Say what you want about Dak and a lot of it is warranted. Him jumping on that loose ball last night was a testament to his leadership.
It was 1lousy fumble that happened right in front of him, hell yes he better dive on it since he had a fumble and two picks all by himself earlier in the game. You act like he’s some type of hero for doing his job!!!!!

I’m glad he recovered it but I think we’d be lying if we didn’t admit most starting NFL QBs recover it as well. In fact his reaction time looked a tad slow which made it closer than it had to be.

It was great awareness by Dak. Recovering that fumble and his game winning TD made up for his mistakes.

I think it was more instinctive reaction than anything. If you’ve played football long enough, whenever you see a football squibbing around you always have an innate reaction to jump on it.

I don't know if I define that as "leadership". That showed his awareness, competitiveness, and will to win.

It was a heads up play that can't be denied as saving the game.
Wouldn’t have to jump on goalline fumbles if Zeke has the ball.

just saying.

Thats nonsense. Plain and simple. But ok, every opinion is worth the same. Soon you guys will embrace him not having diarrhea.

I'm really giving credit where it's due. He saved the game by getting that ball and having a clutch drive when it mattered, but that has nothing to do with leadership. Sacrificing his body lol... ***?

I used to do this as a teenager playing in the common grounds of my neighborhood and wasn’t paid $60 million per year. Big deal.
