Dak’s pass to Tolbert after a 15 play drive to basically run out the clock and scored the TD. That won the game but the play that showed the true Dak Prescott was when he recovered Dowdle’s fumble the play before. I’ve seen QB’s in a Super Bowl not jump on that ball. That’s called leadership.

No matter how bad you think he played, and 3 turnovers is bad, he never gave up and kept fighting. Can’t ask for anything more other than for the fans not to give up so easily.
I can ask for more.

About 20% of 'fans' in here would rather lose and have Dak play bad so they can back up their agenda. It's gotten to be a very sad place.
I have definite concerns about Dak, but I root for the team and him to do well.
I think it's slightly misstated.

I don't anyone "wants" us to lose. But strategically we would prefer to lose than win with Dak. YES...that's where I'm at. This is all fool's gold and I don't like being played for the fool.

To me, the "sad place" was watching all the shock on this board post GB game. I was not shocked and I was well-fortified against being swindled by the Chief Choker.

And finally, it's not to "back up an agenda". It's more so to get on with the business of trying to win a SB...not feel good about Dak's career milestones and confuse them with team success.

Rock---complete agreement Dak may mess up as every QB will from time to time but he does not give up....he digs down deep and fights
Yeah...too bad he does it when we are already down by 3 scores in the 4th quarter. I need some of that "fight" in quarters 1 and 2 when the other QB is not having post season jitters and yips.

What is this weird man-love because someone jumped on a fumble? That's every player's job.

Just because Cam was a little B about it in the Superbowl one time does not make this some kind of heroic act.
The Dak Davidians are to fanhood as Beverly Goldberg is to motherhood.

I get called a Dak Hater or a Dak Lover depending on the day and which group of morons I am arguing with.

I criticize Dak when he deserves it ....... he gave the ball away way to much Sunday night.

I also praise Dak when he deserves it ........ that final drive was a masterpiece and he played great.

The real issue is not Dak ........ its the guys who love dak and the guys who hate Dak ...... hate each other.

I finally put most guys on both sides on ignore ........ so if you "quote me" and I do not respond ....... then you know you are 1 of those two groups.

Kinda funny how not a lot of people were saying that October 7th, 2007 when that happened.

Interesting how that was also week 5.

He jumped on a fumble and people want to hand out awards? That's what he is supposed to do. Who wouldn't have jumped on the fumble? Romo? Aikman? I mean Troy was always a little stiff, but pretty sure he would be down there fighting for the ball. This is like thinking you accomplished something graduating from High School. Congrats, you did the bare minimum.

He made some horrid decisions last night that were inexcusable. No QB at his age and experience level should be making some of the mistakes he was making last night.
But his strengths were also on display. He dug down and made some gritty plays when he had to— and it worked out for the W.
We have lost some of those close games over the years where he couldn’t quite do enough to overcome the mistakes and miscues. We did last night.
The infuriating thing is that the penalties, mistakes, miscues, sloppiness, slow starts etc… STILL continue to plague this offense.
We can do better. We should be better. But we are STILL our own worst enemy and we have to overcome ourselves in addition to beating the opponent.
Hawkeye I agree, I think you have a fair and accurate read on the situation.

He jumped on a fumbled ball. So friggin what? I don't understand why people are making this out to be such a massive achievement when it happens in every game, and sometimes multiple times a game.

Jebus..... this site is really irritating sometimes. You want to prop him up for the last second TD pass? Fine. But jumping on a fumbled ball is nothing - absolutely nothing. He jumped on the ball because it's his damn job, people, nothing more.
