I’m not a Dak hater! He does all the right things as far as being a leader, being a good influence & citizen, work ethic etc. But I’ve said this before & here it comes again, he doesn’t have that IT and now on top of that, his arm strength is showing real signs of weakness!
First the arm strength. Its been very evident in the 1st two games as he’s not comfortable throwing intermediate to long throws hard & we’re now seeing check down Charlie! He’s been too apt to try to finess it in which doesn’t work in the NFL.
Second, everyone has a choking point, except the great ones! Dak has shown to play great in mostly home games against inferior teams but when he is up against tougher teams when he’s needed most, he’s most of the time a big nothing burger!
The Cowboys should have let him play out this season, paid him the 55 million & moved on! But now we’re stuck for the next 5-6 years with a Dak who’s not going to get better but only worse! The Cowboys need to start drafting QB’s every year and if they end up with Dak & his 60 million on the bench, so be it!!
Who has it?

Enlighten us with your words of wisdom O’ Great One!
With that said, I’m almost certain I’ve played successfully, coached successfully & watched more football than you’ll ever come close to. But I’d love for you to prove me wrong!
They can't even grasp the issues much less provide answers. All they know is they don't like anyone or anything that isn't 100% complimentary of their favorite player. Odd that it's those of us that see the issues can predict the future quite accurately and aren't surprised by the failures yet we are the "uneducated children"

Dak really didn’t play that bad yesterday, considering he had no running game and was pressured all day. One of his INT’s was on the receiver for falling down. He had almost 300 yards passing and one TD. That loss was mostly on the defense, which looked even worse than it did against Green Bay in the playoffs. Our defense is just what the doctor ordered for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Jackson could have multiple long runs to the endzone next Sunday and this entire fan base will be calling for Mike Zimmer’s head along with McCarthy’s.

It's a bit like the lottery. Chances aren;t very good to win but they are ABSOLUTE ZERO if you don't even try.
I never said lets not try.... but we have to be top 15 to actually have a chance for anyone that could come close. I doubt of the 5 draftees this year, they are all going to pan out. usually chances are the top pick or top 2 are best...and you have to suck really bad to get there. .....

C’mon! You sound like a smart guy & yes, the D was atrocious! But at times Dak has to win games 45 - 41 after being behind. Go back and adjectively watch just Dak in the first 2 games and it isn’t very good. Have a nice day!
We have no running game and no threats other than Lamb with Ferguson out. The front office has failed this team yet again. Like I said, I am not a Dak guy. He is what he is. Much like the owner.

No, that is the over generalization that plagues these conversations. If the offense scores say 2 TD's & 2 FG's and doesn't help gift the Saints the 5th TD then the score is 28-20 and no matter the final outcome there is a feeling that hey we kept the game close and punched back.

I can't over emphasize that this isn't just about yesterday. It's about the history of the offense under Dak sputtering when they don't get ahead early or get down by 10 or more.
the offense was right there, driving and had a chance to get within a score before the half and brooks slips and the rest is history.

still doesn't change the fact that they scored in their first 4 possessions with ease.

the offense was ok. the NO offense was super spactacular.....

I agree that normally it isn't bad .... but it clearly wasn't good enough yesterday. And they only got to 35 because of a miss Q by the offense right? So, if they keep it 28 - 19 or 23 the game isn't over is it? Better teams just don't get skull drug with the frequency this one does.
Who’s to say the Saints don’t put up 35 or 31 anyway the way the defense was playing.

You want your defense to at least give you a chance and allowing a TD on 6 straight drives will just about do anyone in.

Defense should be embarrassed their getting called out in the media today for looking clueless and scared on the most basic plays that all defenses should know.

Dak’s a front runner.

That’s why the team around him is crucial and why you can’t pay him and win anything.

A tiny hole in the boat causes the whole ship to sink.

When it’s smooth sailing he’s an elite captain. When the waters get choppy he sinks the boat.

The defense looked even worse than it did against Green Bay in the playoffs. I see no difference in the defense under Zimmer than under DQ at least so far. One week the D looks great and the next week they look like garbage. Baltimore has been one of the best running teams over the years with Jackson. Could be a real nightmare next week if we don’t figure something out. Jackson could be ripping off one long run after another.

I'm in! Start Lance now!

Actually that isn't a terrible idea. I doubt we wallow in mediocrity. He either becomes a superstar, or we get that top pick you are looking for.

It's to late to start Lance, JJ done sold his soul to the devil. But, really, Lance could have lost that game and the others coming up for far less money.
