Something that drove me nuts in this game and has in other games is..... Dak is not up in his linemen faces or WR faces to catch the Dang ball. Troy would be furious and in peoples faces trying to rally the troops but NO Dak is sitting on the sidelines with a deer in head lights look. He plays a good game gets over confident and thinks he's just going to do what ever he wants and then over shoots, throws into coverage, short hops guys, and throw 2 INTs. he's the problem. We would not be here w/out him but at the same time he's also got to fix his head and be more consistent. IMO we need to draft a guys in the 2nd - 4th round someone with ice in his veins and let Dak play out this last year and if he's not doing better after 2024 cut him.

It's the same old story. Will get you regular season wins, and put up stats, but when the chips are absolutely down, and he has to make THE play, or win THE game, he turns back into exactly what he is. A fourth round draft pick who would have been a quality backup for his career and maybe a nice starter on some teams but not any kind of player that will ever lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. And winning the SB should be exactly what the Cowboys are all about, but they aren't. It's about them selling merchandice and generating clicks, which they are awesome at. Winning the big one? Nah. Not at the moment anyway. So we get Dak for another 2 seasons, we get excited about a 12-5 or 13-4 season again, we maybe win a wildcard game again, and then we lose yet again when it truly matters, becuse Dak Prescott simply isn't THAT guy. Rinse and repeat.

I truly feel bad for this defense. They played lights out against an offense that averages 35 points a game. For a team that gave it all they had, they deserve a QB who is at minimum not going to cost you the game. This might have been the last shot at something special for a lot of those men.

It wont matter who you put around him............DAK is the dumbest QB I've ever seen, almost gets a safety when your playoff lives are on the line....unbelievable......hey..its only his 7th year....these quartebacks take at least 10-12 to fully mature....so who knows, tom brady wins it in his 40's......at least a ray of hope!

This is true. The surrounding cast wont matter. The 2 int's, the dropped pick six with 3:00 left, and a decent tackle by Armistead on him in the end zone would have ended the whole sorry mess today. Dak was awful, no more, no less. Accountability is fine, but with the owner in full denial and senile...what now?

In Kellen's defense.....I think the process needs to change. So I can agree with you to some extent. This offense by committee has to stop. I think your getting a mash up of concepts that...that doesn't work. I wanna see Kellen get a fair shot....instead of being pressured to run crap that McCarthy is forcing on him.

That may never happen here.....because it sure seems like...that's how everything is done in Dallas....by committee. The draft...by committee....

I like and supported Romo but people need to stop it with BS Romo myths. He had a good defense in 2009.

2009 Defense was ranked 2nd in points and 9th in yards.
2022 Defense is ranked 5th in points and 12th in yards.

Dak has Pentium 4 Processor, when he needs an Intel Core i5...

It’s a great analogy. He has his moments where the game slows down. Where he is in full control. But almost all of those times it’s against inferior competition.

Big games, good defenses, he’s just operating at a much slower level. He can’t process and read the defense. He can’t recognize his receivers aren’t running the right right. He isn’t hitting them in stride. And worst of all, he needs to make eye contact with them. All the defenses are starting to point this out that his eyes are giving it away. The game is just too fast for him.

Then there’s a lot of stupid Dolphin fans and Bills fans and Chargers fans who had QB’s who meant a lot to those franchises yet guys like Flacco and Rypien and Dilfer gravy train off SB’s who were below average at best and I would throw Eli in there too.

You will be a disillusioned fan for a long long time because somebody isn’t Staubach or Aikman so get used to it.

If Cliff Avril doesn't injure Romo in the one series he plays in a preseason game, it's arguable Dak never plays a (meaningful snap)in a regular season game for the Cowboys. Instead, JJ keeps him as a starter and then signs him to the most ridiculous contract in NFL history. And now as fans, were stuck with an overpriced 4th round Qb. Dak has a ceiling, and once again he has hit it.

Cute post, but none of it tells us how many years Dak had Jason Garrett as a play caller? I can tell you one thing for sure is I told you Dak was a scrub and you were holding on to that sinking boat pretty tightly.
