Dak leads NFL in Total QBR

Hmm, I guess this means he's pretty good?

We see the team results when his defense is merely "average" and not "historically awful."

https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

1. Dak
2. Mahomes
3. Love
4. Maye
5. Stafford
Dak has played better this year, more consistently. But he still has some of those deer in the headlights moments early in games.

At least recently he has shook it off earlier in games than he did earlier in his career. Some games Dak didn’t actually start playing football until the game was out of reach.

Kansas City he started right off with an int. But thankfully he got the bus back on the road instead of just running it all the way off the road, through the ditch, through the fence and off into the lake.

it's almost as if td/int ratio is an entirely different metric. weird
So far this season, Stafford is the best QB in the NFL. I'm not sure it's debatable at this point.

The ratings that I see have Drake Maye at the top, followed by Stafford.

Appears to me that NFL.com has a better rating system than who, BSPN? It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they made up some rating system just to get clicks.

BTW, Dak is playing well this season, not knocking him at all. He's playing at a top 5 level right now.

Then they need to adjust their rating system:

Stafford:
3,073/32 TDs/4 INTs

Prescott:
3,261/25 TDs/8 INTs

What in hades are they basing this on?
the old QB rating system made west coast systems really look good
the QBR tried to rectify it but actually is worse

Correct. Short pass artists were way above everyone else.

i have stafford as the mvp favorite and he's playing phenomenally. i also think it's absolutely debatable and dak has several points in his favor. but the main point though, is that this thread is about a particular metric not whether or not he's the best qb in the league.

Yes, it is. And I disagree w/ this metric. Dak is playing well, but Stafford is playing even better, and possibly Maye.

that's fine. it's just a different conversation. also qbr places weight on the caliber of defenses faced, and maye has had one of the easiest schedules in the league. all good though.

Good to see.

Jerry got him another weapon in Pickens and hit on Williams and Dak has returned the favor for the most part this season. Hopefully he can stay hot and get them into the playoffs.

throwing a pick is not a "deer in the headlights moment", because if thats your logic every qb has those moments because they all throw stupid picks.
