I think I am...and all of that is irrelevant to what we're talking about. None of that makes a QB make numerous wildly inaccurate passes to open guys when they're not pressured (and most of the worst plays were in the first half).

No, you're not reading my post correctly.

Every QB makes inaccurate passes in most of their games to open guys.

That's what you don't understand because you didn't read my post correctly.

They're human, not robots on your video game.

The good defenses require more good throws...just like the Giants do. If Dez doesn't get nudged out of position and makes the catch...if Collins doesn't make that great play on the pass to T-Will. If JPP is not constantly forcing Dak to throw out of rhythm...the game is completely different even with the missed throws.

But as Dick MacPherson liked to say...if if's and but's were candy and nuts, every day would be Christmas.

He was ok. No need to really criticize him but at the same time no need to jump on people that are.

If they lost this game and the offense scored 19 points, 3/4th of the board would be melting down.

Sophomore slump? Giants have our number? SNF curse? Dak got the big head on the banquet, endorsement circuit this past offseason?

Whatever the reason I don't like what I've seen from him.

You can talk about Zeke all you won't but we go as far as Dak takes us! A runner is not going to take you on a long playoff run... and the Cowboys have the cast around Dak to get their!

Tip passes in training camp practices

Everyday Scandrick was nearly intercepting a tipped pass from Dak. Near the end of Camp in Cali, One of the plays was so bad, I had to quit looking at the TC reports on BTB.

We go nowhere if Dak doesn't regain last seasons form.

Overthrown passes in the Raiders game. To Butler and Dak. Bailed out by a weak PI call on the Butler throw.

Back to back games where he let the clock run down to zero. I don't think he did that ONCE last season.

The lazy analysts will be teams have a year of tape on him. That's BS. Tape has nothing to do with him missing Dez on a throw that even D. Watson completed. And Watson couldn't hit a side of a barn w a dodgeball! This has been 100% on him.

I'm worried

I don't like him under center w the 2 step drop, that looked awful tonight

Am I overreacting? Talk me off the ledge...

I'm worried and nervous about this.

I need to give you a breathalyzer pal.

For the record, just rewatched the Beas catch... it was tipped at the line causing it to go behind him..

Faced a legit defense and was the first game of the season. Only really missed 2 or 3 throws, but he should get better as the season progresses and he finds his rhythm. Good win. Onto Denver.

The Giants have a very good defense and this was basically the Preseason game against the Texans that was cancelled.

We can't beat the Giants by 30 points every time, you know!

More than just this game

I don't reckon his performance deserves that kind of bake.. but at the same time it wasn't pretty. I know many are just happy we won, which is awesome, but Dak really misfired tonight. Was very very very lucky that our OLine got the job down and he had Zeke to help him out.

Dak's stats were flattered by a gem by Butler, and a once-in-the-game catch by Bease.. also helped when Dez broke for 25 YAC on a simple slant into soft zone coverage.

Dak protected the ball but could have turned it over twice if the footy gods weren't with us. His feet were all over the place and he seemed very intent on Audibles every play in the first half.. perhaps wanted to show the world he is now 'the man' and trusted to run the huddle rather than be a game manager?? Don't know but I reckon he read the Defence wrong three times and audibled into wrong play.. and twice the offence had no idea what he was doing and Dak used his legs to recover the situation but not a recipe for success long term.

The Butler catch was necessary because Dak floated the ball too high.. the Bease one was made possible for a pass way behind him.. and there were at least 8-10 passes that sailed clearly high for open receivers.

I think Dak will turn it around but I hope he is reminded pretty quickly that this league will tear you down as quick as it lifts you up.

Dak has evolved. Ran no huddle like a champ. Had Giants D Lineman sucking wind by end of first quarter. He had some off throws, but no critical mistakes. I give him an A-. You do realize that's a new weapon we didn't have last season? No huddle, with Dak calling plays. Now, imagine that against weaker defenses.

We get Von Miller and crazy man next week! No easy defenses. Even Wade Phillips will have the lil' Rams breathing fire

You do realize how good the Giants defense is right? You know it's game one right? You know half the other QBs in the NFL lost this week right, including Brady, Wilson, etc??? You know he threw for 300, a TD, and ZERO turnovers right? Most importantly, you know he WON right?

Cmon guys, your making all the people who hate Cowboys fans be right..

The Butler catch looked good because he nearly tripped on his own feet. Regular catch from anybody other than Butler.

I was wondering if his hands were wet early on from some of those throws.

I noticed sweat falling from his face right before he throw that one end-over-end incompletion to Dez.

Can't they get enough AC into that building--for a night game!?
