Dak love thread

Solid game. Missed wide open receiver, but it's the last thing you learn, it's such a adrenalin rush to see a guy wide open. Next year he'll have that wired. Hard to remember at times but he's in year 3, and not even in the same system as Linehan has morphed this offense so many times, and different receivers. It took Romo 5 years before he was worth a crap, and STILL made bonehead throws. Dak is way ahead of schedule.

Jared Goff and Patrick Mahomes don’t need 4-5 years to make open throws and get rid of the ball.

115 QBR.

Outplayed Brees.

Perfect passer rating on 3rd downs.

Missed some key throws but can't really ask for more given we beat the greatest team in the laugue that smacked the rams who smacked the Chiefs.

why cant we ask for more? We cant ask our QB to make a simple throw to a wide open Gallop down the sidelines? We cant ask our QB to stop fumbling the ball? What is it now 11 fumbles?

I want to like Dak so much. He seems like a really cool guy and seems to really know what it takes to be a Cowboys QB on and off the field. That run on 3rd down was awesome! Those first 3 passes to Gallop were great passes ... not good but great throws. I thought he was having his best game ever in the first half. Then the second half comes and he goes back to being bad. I thought he was going to cost us the game last night.

I'm glad we won and I saw a lot of improvement out of Dak (mostly 1st half) but the guy has a ways to go.

That missed pass is all you need to know about Dak, 31other QB's in the league make that pass.

He played well last night. Would like to see no more fumbles and better touch on the deep ball. He threw a perfect pass to Gallup early and then missed him wide open. Dak is capable but needs to be more consistent.

On that last drive Dak was great. But he does have to hold the ball. That fumble could have been disaster. He needs to work on those deep throws this off-season, but how can so many be bashing him tonight?

The last drive he was great kneeling the ball down 3 times without fumbling it!

sorry I couldn't resist

He's been playing much better lately.
Glad JJ got him a huge weapon in Cooper.

I feel like his pocket awareness has dropped, but think it can be fixable due to him being more natural back there in 2016 for example. Kick out Moore and Linehan and then get some experienced coaches that can play to his strengths more, and have the experience to actually coach him.

Dak is too inconsistent to marry. Dallas needs better, more consistent play from the QB spot. Scoring only 13 points is not good. Dak might be able to refine his game and provide the upgrade the QB spot needs but I would be open to shopping around until he can. That being said, Dak had a good game and his stats look good but there just seems to be something missing. I can't quite put my finger on it but I'd say having scored 24 points last night instead of 13 is a start.

Moved the ball between 20's but came up very short once in the red zone.

Big heart, huge guts, and all other anatomical attributes were checked off.

Trent Dilfer was a good quarterback. Dilfer helped win a Super Bowl with an extremely safe and manageable passing attack.

Question, Is it fair comparing Prescott's skill set with Dilfer's? His abilities could help the team achieve an eventual Super Bowl appearance and/or victory, just like Dilfer.

The funny thing is Brees took sacks cause he held on to the ball too long and threw a key interception when he was pressured and Cowboys fans totally disregard it.

is this for real? Brees has one bad game and you want to compare that to Dak having a bad game every week? If Dak was putting up Brees numbers week in and week out for years nobody would complain about Dak's 2nd half bad play. The problem is Dak's 2nd half play is more common than his 1st half play. While Brees might go on and win the MVP this year.

Sadly, some of you would.

Dak missed throws all game and held the ball too long. We won the game because a magnificent defensive performance not because anything dak did. If we had a competent qb we steam roll the saints.
