Dak love thread

This dude is a straight up gamer. Period! So many clutch throws tonight. :omg:

& that 1st down run.... A thing of beauty.
I will take 1st half Dak any day.

2nd half Dak not so much but he did scramble for some 1st downs but 0 points!

And yet some are STILL hating on the kid.
To me they're not true fans. Dak just outplayed an 11x pro bowler. Dak played with heart and soul. And it showed.

Dak missed throws all game and held the ball too long. We won the game because a magnificent defensive performance not because anything dak did. If we had a competent qb we steam roll the saints.
I almost didn't respond because I try not to respond to these but....LMAO.

You're probably the same guy that was saying to yourself that we would get steamrolled by the saints before the game. Way to change colors bro. Bravo.

Solid game. Missed wide open receiver, but it's the last thing you learn, it's such a adrenalin rush to see a guy wide open. Next year he'll have that wired. Hard to remember at times but he's in year 3, and not even in the same system as Linehan has morphed this offense so many times, and different receivers. It took Romo 5 years before he was worth a crap, and STILL made bonehead throws. Dak is way ahead of schedule.
so Wentz, goff, Mahomes, turbisky....all second and 3rd year players.......hmmm

With the oline banged up I think the coaches could help Dak by using screens(when not predictable), play action(rarely used) and rolling Dak out of the pocket.

115 QBR.

Outplayed Brees.

Perfect passer rating on 3rd downs.

Missed some key throws but can't really ask for more given we beat the greatest team in the laugue that smacked the rams who smacked the Chiefs.

QBR and other stats are mostly used to enforce people’s agendas. Like a Cowboys record of 17-straight completions. That’s great but he took 4-sacks in which 3 you could say was in him and and had a fumble in the middle of those 17-completions. So I like the eye test better. My eye test said that he did outplay Brees but he also did just enough to lose the game also.

It was a team win in which I would credit the defense much more then I would credit Dak. Actually Dak and Gregory would be the reason if we lost so how can he get so much credit.

Look I want him to be a winner as he is our QB and there is nothing we can do about replacing him. But I just don’t get how people can defend this guy. I support him but to hell with defending him.

You soft posters get stuck on scoring “x” amount of points the same way you get stuck on throwing “y” amount of yards to be considered successful.

In reality the cowboys only need to score more than the opponent to win. Which is exactly what happened.

13 > 10

Doesn’t matter what stats , arguments, or opinions you give - some of the haters just have very sad little lives so they come on a forum to vent and pound their chest to try to feel better.

Even if you believe Your QB stinks , why would you feel the need to come on your team’s forum right after an amazing win to try to rip the guy apart?

Dak is definitely getting better again. He needs to hold onto the damn ball better, but he is getting noticeably better.

Dak is too inconsistent to marry. Dallas needs better, more consistent play from the QB spot. Scoring only 13 points is not good. Dak might be able to refine his game and provide the upgrade the QB spot needs but I would be open to shopping around until he can. That being said, Dak had a good game and his stats look good but there just seems to be something missing. I can't quite put my finger on it but I'd say having scored 24 points last night instead of 13 is a start.
We had 20 if not kneeling at the end. And the red zone is a problem. If SOL is going to insist on passing down there, I still think Rico could learn 2 plays for the red zone. He's on the team so why not?

I'm not talking scoring 20 with garbage time points. I mean actually being up 24-10 instead of 13-10 and Brees having a chance for the win. I agree with the Rico point. Maybe that gets an extra TD.

Go ahead, place them with Kellen Moore and Scott Linehan and see the results.
Kellen more has been in this role only this year....

Linehan doesn't work with QB directly outside of game planning, running practices, etc. yes a good QB coach helps....but you can't lay all the blame on Moore since he has only been on the job for one year.
