Teams are not respecting Dak as a runner any longer and know he is going to hand off the football. The read option is a deadly weapon if used right and defenses have trouble defending it. That touchdown against the Bears was a great example how they can keep defenses honest. If he ran the naked boot last week, he probably scores after that turnover created by the defense.

I completely agree. Teams are sure using it well against us, we should use it against them too.

Dak is just an ok runner. Maybe a RPO package to go along with the hurry up offense can suffice. The Cowboys do have to figure out how to get linebackers to respect the rum on 2nd/3rd down and long to get them out of coverage. No team respects Zeke anymore. Teams will give up 5 yards to get off the field.

Everyone knows this.

The only logical reason that he's not running the ball more is that he's simply scared after the injury. He has the yips and the offense is suffering for it.
I agree. In a way I don’t blame him. But it was what made him way more effective. He will run the RPO on the goal line but needs a few designed runs during the game to move the chains. If he starts doing that in the playoffs we will have a better chance to win.

Look at Dak running in 2016 and look at him running in the last game you'll see the answer to your question
The ankle is a concern for him as it should be

Dak has powerful legs. He gains good yardage on QB Sneaks.
Dak excells running the ball . They definitely need to take more advantage of it.
Keep the emphasis on his legs and off his arm.

maybe he needs to find somebody who can speed up his processing skill set instead of laying on the spastic *** in his sleep number bed. and tell him to close his mouth, he looks like someone who's panicking. sheesh.

Honestly, I hate to say this, but after 7 years, I'm tired of telling Dak how to win games. By now he should know how his strength impacts every scheme and/or play design.
Same. People continuing to point out what he should and it rarely gets done. It's the biggest difference from between him and Hurts. Hurts isn't scared to run the football when a play breaks down or there is an open lane to pick up vital yards. Dak may not be as fast, but he can pick up those yards when given the opportunity but he doesn't take it and for what reason, I hardly know.

Dak rush attempts by year:

2016: 57
2017: 57
2018: 75
2019: 52
2020: 18 - 5 games
2021: 48
2022: 19 - 7 games

I wish I could sort out the end of the game Landry Shifts because that distorts the numbers. But you can see he hasn't been anything close to a running QB in his career.

He's too slow to run an option yet alone scramble! Aaron Rodgers is better running than dak
