Dak needs to use his legs more

...I agree, it would help the offense. But there's always that level of risk.

But, now if they input some Dak plays more often, he'll get good yardage. Because he's not perceived as threat.

I suspect that Dak has been advised to limit the running plays in his personal arsenal, now that injuries have visited him several times, now. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't make use of the opportunity, assuming one presents itself. There's a time and place for everything, up to a point.

This is where he get's into interception problems. He lost that confidence he had in his running ability and makes poor choices. He's forced to throw.

Totally agree.
But then in that Chicago game it at least appeared there was some juice left in his legs and even appeared on the surface that a couple were designed runs or at least an RPO concept.

Not sure what's happened to his legs or those plays since that game.

The mental side of things is always the biggest hurdle to get past. Especially in today's world with modern medicine.

Same. People continuing to point out what he should and it rarely gets done. It's the biggest difference from between him and Hurts. Hurts isn't scared to run the football when a play breaks down or there is an open lane to pick up vital yards. Dak may not be as fast, but he can pick up those yards when given the opportunity but he doesn't take it and for what reason, I hardly know.
hurts is younger year 2 player that didn't have his ankle snap in half.. Dak does run in crunch time and while its effective its never going to look lie Hurts or Fields.. Daks a lot more like RWilson before the ankle.. now he picks his spots.

Teams are not respecting Dak as a runner any longer and know he is going to hand off the football. The read option is a deadly weapon if used right and defenses have trouble defending it. That touchdown against the Bears was a great example how they can keep defenses honest. If he ran the naked boot last week, he probably scores after that turnover created by the defense.

i was gonna say “Dak needs to use his brain more” but I guess you’re right, he can’t use what he doesn’t have

be suddenly popping back up in the playoffs or bigger games, you are 10-3 why empty the bag during every game.. he got that first down last GW drive, i think he ran twice. he will do it when its truly needed. we have zeke, pollard and strong run game, no need to risk our QB if its not needed. 10-3 says we are fine.

one and done games or game for say a game for the division, you go after it , take more risks,

Dak "suffers" from fat kid syndrome.
He was a portly child and his stride is "short steps with duck feet."

For me, the irony is this:
My all time favorite Dak play is a long run at FedEx Field where he
stiff arms (more like face mushes) Josh Norman.

I agree, but the staff might be telling him not to run the football to protect from injury.
When you start sacrificing team success in an effort to protect a player from injury.....maybe you need to replace that player. I'm a Dak fan. But I'm also a Cowboy fan. These coaches need to use his mobility at least 6-7 plays a game. Period.

He does look to have gotten slower. But the worst part is the guy’s stopped trying.

I wonder if someone got in his head after the injury?
I sometimes wonder if he's simply trying to avoid being labeled a running QB, and wants to prove his arm is his best weapon.

I agree, not sure if it’s the coaches or him deciding against it. Who knows his ankle might still be an issue.

100% agree.

Daks mobility makes his game. See the scramble and 50 yard bomb to Brown last game. I just want to see more scrambling.

Most of the time he does it’s a positive play. Not sure if he’s trying to avoid further injury or is being coached not too but we need it. His running has been a difference maker in the past.

Dak runs like a 40 year old man these days. He looks like he’s trotting, there’s no fluidity in the way he runs. I would be surprised if he could run under 5.0 in the 40.
