I've been saying this for a long time that Dak needs to use his legs and move the chains.

He's got to stop holding the ball and just tuck it away and settle for a few safe yards to keep defenses honest.

If we are going to get further in the tournament he is definitely going to have to commit to using his legs more.

Teams are not respecting Dak as a runner any longer and know he is going to hand off the football. The read option is a deadly weapon if used right and defenses have trouble defending it. That touchdown against the Bears was a great example how they can keep defenses honest. If he ran the naked boot last week, he probably scores after that turnover created by the defense.

I can definitely agree on this one.

Honestly, I hate to say this, but after 7 years, I'm tired of telling Dak how to win games. By now he should know how his strength impacts every scheme and/or play design.

Trust me, Dak isnt listening to anything you say. He is teaching you about football. Dak taught you point blank how to win a game last week with a clutch game winning drive.

Sorry that pissed you off. for most of us it was incredible to watch. And in case you didnt notice, since coming back from a big injury Dak is 6-1. How is that for winning?

Poor little troll cant stand it anymore. Reduced to critiquing wins now? LOL

mouthbreather isn't a good runner. he's a stiff-legged, pigeon-toed runner.

Picked up a clutch first down on that game winning drive with his legs. Sure looked good to me.

How bad did that last drive piss you off? Must have been tough watching Dak lead us down the field for the win eh? Poor guy.

Generally you don’t have to advise 40 mm qbs on how to win. It’s sad that we have to hold him with kid gloves because the obvious.

Is that what you were doing when Dak drove us down the field for the clutch win? Were you holding his hand? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

When was the last time you told Dak how to win games? How often do you speak with him? How did you get his number?

He’s a capable runner. Do you know how many times on those read option plays if he keeps the ball he’s going to pickup a big gain. It’s tough to stop when you have the weapons and oline we have. Not to mention dak is a pretty big guy himself.

He is capable of scrambling….. he’s done it with success this year.

not saying you have to use it all the time but the read option should be a bigger part of our offense. At least to help Dak pickup a couple key first downs in a drive. Take the pressure off of him.

It's pretty obvious that Dak is not looking to run. He was never fast, just big and strong. Even with the bootlegs he is going to pass 95 percent of the time. He knows any DE in this league can run him down and that's how you get injured. I still believe there is merit to running the read option at the goal line. Most defenses are going to try to stop Zeke first because he is going to get the ball 95 percent of the time.

Why do I believe we won’t see the play where Shultz was the lead blocker for Dak on (I think) a read option untouched walk in ever again?

What legs are you talking about?
He ran like a constipated LB before the injury and is now one hit away from retirement if he reinjures that ankle.
Thank the heavens he is such a great pocket passer and this is what our fate depends on!:muttley:
