Exactly how many weapons does Dak need to have success? Shouldn't GOOD QBs be able to take guys who may not be studs, and the turn them into something meaningful?

I hope we get Dak weapons to have deep success this season, but these weapons we get need Dak to be on point and not just say the right things. Please give your thoughts

All QBs need weapons because there are about 15 Super Bowl level QBs, and if you don’t have one you need to get one, but once you have one the quest is which team gives them the most talent? After all , once you have one of those guys what you can surround them with is the difference maker.

Totally wrong approach. What a qb really need is blocking and a clean pocket. First and foremost.

Then every qb needs a weapon or two he can trust and makes plays.

The great oline play will also translate into a run game.

What NFL QB is thriving without weapons?

Im not joking when I say this. Dallas could trot out Lamb, Cupp and Davante Adams and get bounced in the first round with Dak at QB.

Dak was struggling before Coop. He hasn't become substantially better since.

Brady proved this. The offensive line was always first and foremost…..WRs and RBs were always an afterthought there.

Why did Dak succeed against better talent this year as opposed to years before, since that has been the staple argument about Dak not beating teams over .500?

The offensive line protected better at the first of the season. Even Rush fooled the general population at the Zone prison because he had all day to throw and could noodle arm a pass long enough a slow fat man could run under it. (I am not body shaming. I AM a slow fat man.)

When did the Boy Wonder start making a move and scoring against Dallas in the 9ers play-off game? When they adjusted and slowed the rush, using short passes and counter plays disguised as moving one way, then going the opposite.

How did Dallas score on the Bucs, who had a better than decent defensive line? Protection.

Last point. The argument about Dak's salary stops progress is a fool's errand. Here is an article which slays the idea Dak's salary prevents rebuilding places of need on this team. Now watch the goalpost being moved in regard to this argument.

Can’t say it any better than this. However good the QB is or can be, a great O line will maximize the QBs ability.

Brady won a couple of rings with really only have Gronk as a reliable 'go to' weapon.

Mahomes only had Kelce for a while there.. I remember when they had that stat about no Chief WR had a touch down in something like 20 games in a row? (not sure how long.. but it was a scary stat)

Rodgers got the packers to the playoffs several times with very few weapons.

AND then lets look at this BS myth that Dak doesn't have weapons... he has stood behind a line that has CONSISTENTLY been ranked in the top 5 his whole career. Dak has never, ever had to play without a top 5 ranked line.. let that sink in.

Next up.. Dak has always had (other than that little bit before we got cooper) at least 1 true Pro Bowl level WR target, often he has had 2-3 quality targets.
Dak has always had the support of at least 1 pro bowl level Running Back (and this year Pollard was a gun)

Dak has always been supported by quality TEs.. sure not superstars but not duds either.

So.. Dak this season had 'weapons' in a top 3 Oline, CeeDee at WR (plus gallop and later Hilton), Pollard (and Zeke for short yardage), Semi Decent TE's.. That is not a QB that is being asked to do it all himself. That is more weapons than a lot of other QBs get to work with. Cooper Rush was able to use these 'weapons' to win 4 games ffs.

Please stop with the BS narrative that Dak needs more weapons. He is a bad QB.. end of story.

And I'm not lying when I say this, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!! That's why when I keep hearing about who we need to get who we need to trade for, I'm like hmm we still have Dak, I can still see us getting kicked out early or not even making the playoffs!

I don't think there are 15 Super Bowl level QBs. There aren't even 15 playoff teams. 15th in passing was Daniel Jones, and he is by no means a Super Bowl level QB. There are maybe 8 in any given year. What decides the rest is if their team is complimentary.

Just for last year: Murray, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Presscott, Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, Lawrence, Herbert, Tua, Hurts, Brady, Mahomes, Goff, and that is 15 before even talking about whether Watson still has it or Fields is the guy, or Jones was a fluke or whether Brock Purdy was a blip or a trend, or if Wilson was just dealing with a terrible coaching situation. Regardless of anything else the league has a lot of talanted QBs and no matter how you choose to rank them there are clearly no shortage of them so what matters is what you surround them with.
