How much is that new line and new receiving corps going to play as thin as they are in both areas? This is disappointing....he has a new line and new receivers.....I don't know who made the call, but I don't agree with it. I guess we are camp cupcake after all.

And I do not underestimate the ripple effect of the TB Center's injury on day 1. These coaching staffs are already twitchy about depth. Think when that came around some eye rolling didn't take place?
Maybe, but I’d bet the far that by that time he’d have several hundred reps with the top four guys (minus Gallup)The modern NFL is flat out soft. Dak needs game reps with this new WR corps and OL. Limiting his snaps to “protect” him is a joke.
Do you run the risk of an injury? Sure. But I fully expect him to struggle with timing and being overall rusty and sloppy once the games start.
Don't forget the joint practices against the Chargers and Broncos.Heard that all of last year too, and Dak was at his best starting the year. Preseason is for the fans way more than the players. So many more snaps are taken in practice I'm not sure the one or two series that Dak would have played those games really matter. Chemistry with the offense is being created now....preseason is just garbage vanilla football.
If you practice scared, you'll play scared....How much is that new line and new receiving corps going to play as thin as they are in both areas?

Yeah, I read that....scrimmages with quick whistles and little contact do not simulate the real thing....I get it, just don't like it.The coach said that they will get this sort of work in when they hold their practices with their preseason opponents. Think scrimmages where the D can't hit the QB. So, get game simulation with less chance of injury to the qb.
That's the logic I believe.

Hope so. But last year his recovery from injury was a good reason to protect him. This year? I would get him some work.
Brady will play in more pre-season games than Dak.

Practice reps < Game reps (even preseason games)
Sure. I’m just not gonna waste time worrying about it. If we don’t make it to the SB, IMHO it won’t be because Dak didn’t play preseason games 1 and 2.
Tough is often negated by stupid. The CBA has made the whole league softer. They’re all in the same boat. Not playing him in preseason games reveals a mindset issue. We want to be “tough” but then train and practice like we’re charmin soft. That will probably be why we lose in the playoffs again— if we even make it
