Dak Not Expected To Play In The 1st Two Preseason Games

No doubt the NFL is softer compared to 20+ years ago… but there will be teams that will play their QB in preseason games.

Consider JJ saying that Dak is not to throw deep passes from midfield anymore for fear of pulling a muscle like last year lol… can’t win playing scared

Yeah, can’t win consistently playing scared, but I’m not gonna worry about it. I trust the coaches more than the fans, because they’re immersed in it for a living. We’re not. I think injuries and officiating will determine our season.

No reason for him to play, not worth the risk. It'll also add to the excuses when he starts the season slow: "well, he didn't get enough snaps in pre-season, not his fault."

honestly, he wouldn't gain much by playing in any of the PS games. PS is now evaluation time for non-starters instead of practice for the starters.

Yes dont need to see Tyron or Martin either in preseason if we know they are the starter and have young backups no need for them to play a preseason game. Like to see Smith Jr get work at both spots on the line ...

The modern NFL is flat out soft. Dak needs game reps with this new WR corps and OL. Limiting his snaps to “protect” him is a joke.

Do you run the risk of an injury? Sure. But I fully expect him to struggle with timing and being overall rusty and sloppy once the games start.

This i agree with. At least play a couple series each game. Injuries can happen anytime. Cant play and coach scared but this has been the M.O. since parcells left

Parcells saw what was coming—a soft league that catered to primadonna divas. His style of coaching would have clashed with players who can’t take constructive criticism of any kind, ESPECIALLY the blunt, sarcastic Parcells way. It’s getting to the point of why even HAVE coaches.
