Dak numbers without Zeke

As I said, if we are planning to jump-
On the field Dak reminds me so much of RG3/Kaepernick. The only difference is Dak has a good head on his shoulders hopefully that can make the difference. But this passing offense is atrocious to watch.

I think this plays a huge part in it. He is a likeable, nice guy, similar to Tebow. The latter’s image made his fans refuse to accept reality that he simply wasn’t a pro-QB.

Obviously Dak is better, and a much better thrower on the run (they struggle outside the hashes from behind the OL) but his success last year was just as much all-World OL, Zeke running like a beast and good coaching by Linehan to progress him along... he also had a healthy Sean Lee on defense, so as a norm he never had to consistently play far from behind. Of course one could argue the GB fans, but like I said we are taking about norm here and Zeke went off anyways. Plus, GBs defensive secondary was decimated and horrible..

Even Russel Wilson had bad games in his second season. Here is his passer rating from those games.

86.3
81.9
78.7
63.9
49.7
49.6

This will be ignored, but Dak's numbers this year are very close to Wilson's second year. Might end up just a tad better.

People looking for HOF play in a QB's second year just have no clue.

Huh? Wilson had like a 101 rating and over 8 yards per attempt. Dak is much closer to RG III’s second season than Wilson’s (adjusting for year)... and there’s still two games left for him to sink.

Dak has (currently) a better comp %, avg 7 yards per attempt, will likely end up with the same total yardage, will end up with more TDs, currently has a 90 rating, less turn overs...and there’s still two games left for him to play well.

OH BS. Look at the last ten games or so he played and how many hits he took - it was the weird one he got after sliding that injured him last. He took normal hits just fine. The collarbone was the result of him being body slammed. I wish people were not so easily swayed by such crap
I agree, the bs that Romo could not handle any more hits is a load of crap. If Dak sucked last year Romo would have got his job back, Dak played out of this world last year and that is why Romo was invited to the bench. If Romo was playing with this OL and Zeke it would be a deadly combination for opposing defenses, that is the one thing this team is missing right now is a down the field accurate thrower. It's going to continue to hurt us unless Dak finds his mojo once again.

Tony would have been knocked out of that Atlanta game on his first hit. Doubt he got that far though.

Comparing players by totals is irrelevant. Players on bad teams throw more and rack up numbers, doesn’t mean they are any good. Blake Bortles was 2nd in the league with 35 TD for a 5 win Jaguar team in 2015. Nobody thought he was even a top 20 QB that year.
Dak is currently 13th in completion percentage, 18th in quarterback rating, 21st in yards per attempt and 23rd in percentage of passes intercepted. He isn’t even in the same dimension as 2nd year Wilson. He is far closer to RGIII.

Gotta factor in the rushing TDs too. The most important factor - he hasn't gotten hurt. At this point in a young QB's career, durability is probably the best ability

Seattle was 8-6 Wilson's second year, lol.
Instead of cluelessly having the point fly over your head, why don’t you concentrate on what is actually being said. Wilson only threw the ball 407 times that year. Dak has already thrown the ball 426 times and has 2 games to go.
Also now that I check, I took your word for it that Dak would pass his TD total but it isn’t very likely that Dak is going to throw 6 TD in these last two games.

Ok, so what? Dak through the ball 450 + times last season. Was he on a bad team then? Was it a better team than the 2013 Seahawks?

Also, look at rushing TDs. Combined both are at 27.

I know what you are trying to say--bad teams that are playing from behind and abandon the run, but that has not happened this year.

So they gave us the wrong information during the game?

It appears that they had 2 coming into the game because NFL.com shows their opponents having thrown 4 interceptions on the season. That's still got to be a historically low number.

Edit: Yeah, that's historical. The lowest total by a modern defense is 3, by Houston in 1982. Only 8 teams have finished the season with 6 or fewer, and only 3 times since 2000. So the Raiders better get busy or go down as a measuring stick for ineptitude.

I hate that this all gets rolled up into Zeke's absence. When the reality is, we were missing a lot of key players during the bulk of those six games.

Dak played poorly again tonight, though, and not always because of the pressure. He came through when it counted, though, and that long pass to Dez and the big drive off of the fake punt were big time series.

Alot of Daks mistakes were his damn wrs stopping on thier routes for no reason at all.

Thank you for the information. So maybe what I remember seeing it was like ten games or something from their last interception.
